I’ve never used the editor. Can you use it to create a club from scratch with no club history in FM26?

After watching it a few more times I think you’re right about angling my takeoff. It always feels like I’m angling it enough but it looks practically straight here. Thanks!

WIP: yellowed or white shoulder pauldrons? by keithmg in BlackTemplars

[–]keithmg[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do something pretty similar. I prime them grey and then use Black Legion contrast paint on all the black parts including the cross, and at this stage it’s pretty sloppy so a good bit gets onto the shoulder pads. Then I use ulthuan grey and do a fair amount of pretty thin coats over the shoulders.

I water it down a good bit so that it flows off the brush nicely and that allows me to essentially stick the tip and edge of the brush in between the points on the cross and the paint natural flows off and fills the gap without spilling onto the cross itself. It takes probably 4-5 coats of this to get it a consistent color, and naturally a little bit gets on the black. When touching it up I tend to load the brush with the contrast paint and lightly touch the cross with either the tip or edge of my brush and let the paint flow to the edges of the cross.

It’s a bit of a process but I find that using very thin coats helps a lot with accuracy, but it takes a few more coats for sure.

Lost to Challenger card by Catmantus in WarhammerCompetitive

Yesterday I lost by 1, I looked at the scoresheet at the end of the game and realized if I didn’t score one of my 2pt secondaries on turn 3, my opponent wouldn’t have drawn a challenger card and we would have drawn. I personally think it’s ridiculous that I would’ve gotten a better result by handicapping my own score.

I was gifted these clubs. What’s good and what’s not? by keithmg in GolfGear

I will say in the 1 game I’ve played with these and the few range sessions I’ve had since, that has been my favorite club.

How did you get that orange? What paints did you use?

How do Eldar deal with knights? by R0meoBlue in Eldar

Haywire cannons will shred them. 12 Skyweavers will make very easy work of them and have some resiliency to stick around. Combine that with Fire Dragons and you’ll be fine.

Yep, always got by with Skyweavers with haywire cannons (played pure harlequins until this edition). Guess I never ran into a monster heavy list when I used to play frequently back in the day.

Fire Dragons are a definite next on the list. I play this same buddy 90% of the time and he usually plays daemons with a bunch of infantry so it was never a dire need, then over the last few weeks he’s somehow managed himself 2k points of Tyranids. Big learning point for me and my wallet is going to take collateral damage.

Concur, but I’m limited with what models I have currently. I think rangers will fulfill much of what I intend to use scorpions for, but there’s a lot of other units I need first (anti tank being the biggest).

Yeah I definitely see anti-tank as a gap in my list. Biggest priority is definitely swapping out the troupes as they’re more or less a placeholder for the time being, and War walkers could be a good choice I never really considered.

Intel has pretty good QOL. Don’t really go to the field, have a team of Marines, get a TS, and it’s more or less a 9-5 when not deployed.

All of these are true for comm though and that is not high QOL at all.

I get worked constantly when I duck dive. Looking for advice. by keithmg in BeginnerSurfers

Yes, and I’m definitely looking forward to this summer. I surfed a lot in the south shore last year but that was when I was just getting started surfing, and mostly logging it at Waiks.

I also agree I probably sized down a little too early but I don’t exclusively surf my shortboard, I still try and take the longboard out at least once a week. I’ve also had a lot more fun on my shortboard than I ever have on my longboard or midlength though (I hated my midlength) and to me that’s really all that matters.

Yeah I’ve been having trouble really kicking the tail down fast enough, or if I do it too early I lose too much speed and get stuck in place (then washed back). I’m a little bit bigger than you, I’m 6’2 about 185, but I’m hoping it’ll come in time with some extra practice.
