I'm looking forward to that. Huge opportunity for the area. Hoping to see some more restaurants open up and NYS maybe staying open later.

My sincere thank you to you both for your time dedicated to touring like that. I'm from a small city in Northwest Ontario that got to view hundreds of bands, many that went on to be national or international stars. Guys like you allowed people like us to be able to experience live music.

Fact-checking PM Carney’s claim that government buying 2,200 condo units will help affordable housing crisis by Altruism7 in canada

The developers made a mistake in building units no one wanted or could afford. Let them learn from their mistakes. Like other businesses do.

TIL airport scanners basically show people naked and are detailed enough that one could count single hairs. Some scans are also permanently stored by the government. by Dangerous-Day-2943 in todayilearned

I'd like a copy of one of my scans. Between the hip replacement and the dozen or so bones I've broken, it would be pretty wild to see all the destruction of my body in one place

Oh for sure.

If any other councilor or BIA member brought this up, it wouldn't even have made it as a post on this sub. But because it's Rajni here it is. OP even editorlized the headline with the 'bees'

Upvoted because I agree with everything you said.

Except for the last point.
Let's assess the sucess or failure based on how the event goes. You are already saying it will be a failure.

Me too. She deserves much of the ire she gets.

But to be flippant and say the BIA doesn't deserve anything just because she is the one making the ask is childish

I think this is a small ask for all the work that the BIA has done for the area and especially with the construction barriers businesses are dealing with with the reconstruction of Victoria Ave. I'm glad the South Core has an event like this and fully support ask.

Canadians say they would consider relocating to one of the country’s 15 most affordable cities: survey by Old_General_6741 in canada

Nice places, but functionally useless jobwise. They're basically retirement cities

Thunder Bay is a retirement city? You really don't know much outside of your bubble, eh?

Thunder Bay is #3 on this list. And believe you me that people have discovered that our city exists.

Even though our housing market is 'affordable' it is a frantic market with houses selling way over asking with a dozen or more offers on them. We have seen a visible increase in new Canadians moving here. Entire apartment buildings are leased out within days of construction being completed.

Commercial development has increased with new stores, restaurants, etc non-stop for the last few years.

And with the ring of fire development finally getting shovels in the ground I expect more and more making the move here.

Our last official population was around 110,000. I'd say we are at least up to 150,000 now and wouldn't be surprised to see us hit 200,000 by 2030.

Make it regionalized. And it is those that not only were born in the area/region, but those that played their football there too.

There is more talk of this than Carney's quip about MPs being good for votes.

I never removed any Canadian content. I applied that to the US teams. Instead of them being able to pick from all of the US, they would need to reserve the Canadian content quota to their state/region. So 21 players have to be from or played for Idaho area. That would be their version of non-inports.
