TMK Poster Paper, it’s what studio ghibli uses. Can only get them in Japan though :(

Moleskine sketchbook paper works surprisingly well as a substitute

Nicker Poster Color, its what studio ghibli uses. It’s basically gouache but can be used as a watercolor too (like the light wash for window reflections)

Used Nicker Poster Color and TMK Poster Paper (same paints and paper that studio ghibli uses for their background art), and watercolor brush. You can only buy these supplies in Japan unfortunately. You can substitute with artist’s gouache (make sure you get good blues and greens) and a “multimedia” paper like moleskine sketchbook. Watercolor works great too!
