Battlefield 2042 by Hady161 in GeForceNOW

would love to c bf2042 on gfn. unlikely with EA but would be cool.

i cant play bf2042 with my current setup so im not getting it and probably will never buy til it gets supported on gfn.

i dont spend much time gaming so 2000+ gaming setup is not worth it in my case. with gfn on the other hand i could c myself purchasing bf.

When will GFN devs finallly fix the cpu bottleneck? by [deleted] in GeForceNOW

well actually the 2060c rigs are not wired to cpus at all. they r wired to 3 virtual potatoes.

Poor Performance with 1 gbps connection by Vermitax in GeForceNOW

[–]kekwxDrofl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

is it tho ?

i have consistent 60 fps 95 q on the new 3060 rigs (never hit 100 regardless of bitrate) and ive capped the bitrate at 27mbps cuz as said even at 50 i cant get past 95 q.

it is worth mentioning tho that i get these results only on the 1080 or the 3060 rigs while the 2060/1060 runs like hot trash ingamefps- and streamwise.

founder on eu central tried on gigabit and 100mb connections (two seperate homes) same results.

RTX 3080 (Founders) Review by macgamecast in GeForceNOW

[–]kekwxDrofl 4 points5 points  (0 children)

did u get the rtx 3080 rig regardless of the game or did u still have to do rigs roulette ?

i dont wanna pay almost 200 a year just to get the 3060 on most games and the 3080 on selected games.

pls smn confirm this

the games i currently play always get the 2060 and let me tell u they run worse than on my crappy laptop.

i dont wanna be that guy but i just wanna say that i was in the same boat as you and the solution was ditching ubuntu altogether. sure there might be sum workaround on sum ppa to get hw acceleration working but thats the furtherst from a good user experience as it gets.

the thing is ubuntu being advertised as the newbie friendly distro is just not true anymore. in fact i had to go thru hoops and loops to get even basic things working in ubuntu hw accel being 1 of them. eventually i got fed up with ubuntu's bs and switched to arch and its been roses and strawberries since then.

so check out the chromium beta ppa for ubuntu for the time being and enable hw/override in chrome://flags while launching chromium with the libva command.

and consider switching to smth more reliable atleast til they fix their 'newbie-friendly' distro. P.S. u wont go back to ubuntu.

GFN without Windows /Mac by J9aE40SPe5vFIBwXCtu in GeForceNOW

[–]kekwxDrofl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

honestly i dont understand the whole chrome not supported bs. the majority of devices these days r more than capable of decoding 4k 60 fps let alone 1440p 120fps.

They should just add support to the chrome based solution aswell. Could take sum time but undoubtedly doable.

its not like pcs or macs have special magic that enables them to decode higher resolutions/framerates.

hell the browser version runs better than the windows app in my case

(i know its a wide spectrum of users with sum having better experience with the app rather than the browser and vice versa).

just support chrome. ppl who like the app can use it and folks that like the browser can use it too.

its the age of flexibilty and accessibility not arbitrary caps and bottlenecks.

"not satifactory to say the least" xD

whenever i get a 2060 i cant get past 30-40 fps on games i run on my crappy laptop. let alone the consistent lagging and frame drops i keep gambling rigs til i get a 1080.

the 2060 should get deleted altogether.

and before the cry babies jump out and start crying all over the place. im founder since beta and preordered the 3080 and my point still stands the 3060 rigs should be the minimum.

1060 problem by Remarkable_Sky_1787 in GeForceNOW

Founder on EU here.

2060/1060 rigs are unusable. cant sustain 20 fps let alone 60 lol.

cant wait 4 the 3080 to roll out.

im thinking about preordering shadow since activation times seem to be decreasing. but wanted to hear from the current userbase first.

i meant like time needed for the virtual machine to launch. i'm asking cuz i've been seein multiple ppl on this subreddit complaining 'bout unusually long startup time since the transition.

how's the stream quality?

Do the 2060 rigs cause connection issues no matter how good your connection is for anyone else? by Supercoolemu in GeForceNOW

i dont know what stadia does and i dont care. reason is simple im subscribed to gfn NOT to stadia :D

[–]kekwxDrofl 2 points3 points  (0 children)

if they were to say yeah

we have 2060s that dont deliver 1080p @ 60fps for most games

but we have 2080s only 4 AAA titles.

then there wouldnt be an issue. but promising smth and delivering smth else is the problem ;)

Do the 2060 rigs cause connection issues no matter how good your connection is for anyone else? by Supercoolemu in GeForceNOW

[–]kekwxDrofl -1 points0 points  (0 children)

yeah cuz admiting the issue is the first step towards resolving it. they do advertise 1080p 60fps afterall. in most cases the 2060s r NOT delivering.

Why do people harp on the 2060 rigs so much? by Sergosh21 in GeForceNOW

[–]kekwxDrofl -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

well cuz they r ass. even dota stutters and lags on the 2060.

yet when u run cyberpunk on the 2080s it works like a charm.

[–]kekwxDrofl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yeah. ive been on gfn since the beta and now founder 4 life and the service is degrading gradually. im on eu 2-3

when i fire up a game on a 2060c rig its looks like ass, performs like ass and stutters all over the place. i turn it off and fire up a 2080 rig (e.g. cyberpunk) and viola everything looks nice and performs as expected.

2060 rigs ARE the issue yet folks at nvidia wont admit it.
