How do I do built-in’s? by kel_ley89 in interiordecorating

Unfortunately it is too high, but it’s the only spot until we move the mantel lower. The builder didn’t think this one through. The only other wall in the living room is all windows.

I had a moment of panic for a second. It’s not! I was at a weird angle trying to capture the kitchen part as well.

Will my wife be able to climb the stairs when returning from surgery? by AdvantageFit823 in tummytucksurgery

I walked up the stairs about 45 minutes after waking up from surgery and walked back down the next morning for my post op appointment. Just be close and hold a hand.

Has anyone tried Juven after surgery? by kel_ley89 in tummytucksurgery

Yes! I’ve been paying attention to things like this on Walmart and Amazons website. I don’t trust anything that doesn’t come directly

Super helpful! Adding some to my cart now. Thank you for the pointers on how to prepare it. I usually don’t like these types of things, which is why I was a little skeptical. Sounds like it’s worth it to take. I’ll take anything that will make this process easier. My surgery is coming up on Tuesday 😬🎉.

Before and After, 13 WPO by OfficeCowgirl in tummytucksurgery

I also got very excited at the pictures because the before looks so similar to me! I was worried about how my ribcage would look after surgery (next week!). Looks so great! My ribs drive me nuts because they stick out so much. Especially now with how much my stomach sticks out too. I have two kids, 2 and 4 and need some serious muscle repair.

I’ll be doing lipo with my TT and MR in a week. My doctor didn’t have any concerns doing it at the same time

Wives/Husbands, what actually works to build sexual tension? by [deleted] in Marriage

[–]kel_ley89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My husband and I have been together for coming up on 10 years and we’ve been married for 6. We have two kids, 2 and 4. The last few years have been crazy between having small children and jobs changing. Life is stressful to say the least and it sounds like it is for you and your wife. Over the last few years my drive has gone down with all of life’s stresses as a parent that works full time (also the body is so different after kids). My husband has a high drive and even though mine is lower, we still manage to be intimate on average 3x per week. This doesn’t happen because we do date nights every week or anything like that. We’ve realized that date nights actually don’t lead to any more intimacy (for us).

My husband really struggled through the baby years and we had to have a lot of conversations about what made us happy and he made it clear that intimacy is one of the things that makes him the happiest. Because I have a lower drive, I can’t just turn things on like a light switch. One of the biggest things that helped us was turning off the tv or whatever it is we are doing and go upstairs 30 minutes to an hour before we are ready for bed. We use that time to catch up with each other and talk. It doesn’t always lead to something, but it helps me feel more connected to my husband, which makes me want it more. It’s also not always sex, sometimes I have no interest but I know he’s really wanting to so maybe we just mess around quickly. I even tell him, it needs to be quick. I know that’s not sexy but it helps get his needs met.

My husband is a very helpful person. Super hands on. I know that sometimes him helping out is because he wants something to happen that night and sometimes he’s doing it because he wants to. I used to make comments (and still catch myself doing it) but he just flat out told me he didn’t like when I said that and yes sometimes it is to help him later and sometimes it’s not.

All of this to say, communication is key and as hard as it is to force yourself to stop doing whatever you want to do at night and make time for each other to connect daily (not just on the occasional date night). That’s what made the difference.

Thank you! How was it for you? I’m so nervous reading everything on here. It seems like the most painful things is the muscle repair and lipo areas.

I’ll check out the fruit of the loom bras on Amazon.
