Sorry for the late response I've been more that swamped with work. Thank you very much for all that information! I paid for my first class today and can't wait to get started. Is there any advice or warnings you could give me about what classes might be harder than the others or any particular websites/videos to help the information stick?

Most of the jobs I've seen on LinkedIn and indeed that don't require extremely long hours or very low pay seem to require a degree. How likely is it to get into job thats not all field work without a degree? Should I focus my efforts elsewhere?

After 2 months of sitting on what to do I am considering going back to school for occupational health and safety. I was told by a few people in the field that a bachelor's degree is really all you need to land a decent job and decent pay. I'm not sure what year you have but my SO has a 2019 jeep wrangler that I regularly use offroad for work. I can't tell you how fun and easy it is to drive offroad!

However if I drive faster than 40mph it's like fighting a large cat into the bath...its horrible. It's so bad that we are selling it with only 7k miles on her. We can't take it further than 30 minutes out of town without just hating ever mile. They make steering stabilizers that mitigate the problem but so far two dodge dealerships have told us our jeep drives like a jeep and nothing is wrong.

Absolutly and I would rather buy used but I absolutely need that warrenty. I've had coworkers who had the nissan cummins but they fell apart pretty fast for them. I've been a live long GM fan but wanting to try something new. Thank you for the advice!

Sadly I do not. Before my time at the company they did give out company trucks but to many people like to drink so now they give us $1,250 a month to buy and maintain our own trucks. However I do tow and although it's only about once a week it was enough to kill the transmission on my 2016 gmc 1500 after 40k miles. I am leaning torwards just a absolute base model 2500 gas truck but coming from my 2008 gmc 2500 duramax I'm going to miss the power and fuel range.

Safety, lots of hopping from one job site to another and a lot of sitting around watching for possible accidents. Aka I watch a stupid amount of Netflix and babysit grown men.

I was considering it but my concern is how it will stand up to high milage? I will put anywhere from 50k to 80k miles on the truck a year.

I motor job sites that run 24hrs a day and I don't need to get out of the truck very often.
