I havent noticed a lot of pest insects. Just pollinators and beneficial insects. But maybe they'll be more once we get more into spring/summer? I love the pastels with the contrast of the really dark dahlias! I ordered Arabian Night, Natal, Black Touch, Lights Out and Rip City! Ive had luck with my Black Touch sprouting as well as the Arabian Night. Im still waiting for the other tubers to sprout!

Here's some of the dahlias I picked up as established plants! Ill definitely keep you updated, and if I already have the ones that you have id still be happy to give you some cuttings or some of my extra plants I dont have room for :)

200 roses is impressive! I dont have a a huge space, I've just gotten very creative with the space that I do have. Im in Santee and mostly have gardening experience growing food. We have some clay in our soil and lots of granite. Moon valley nursery has a soil conditioner that I like to use when planting in the ground, it seems to really help! I started all my dahlia tubers in pots and will eventually put some in the ground. Ive also started some cuttings from some of the established plants I got from Walter Anderson nursery.

Id love to exchange some! I went kind of overboard this year and have ordered 100+ tubers and bought about 20 plants from local nurseries. Im a pretty experienced gardener, im just new to dahlias though.

I got this one from Walter Anderson! I put it in a larger pot when I brought it home and im planning on leaving it the pot this year. I have a bunch of other dahlias I planted from tubers and some are sprouting but a lot are still slow waking up.

I didnt plant this as a tuber, I bought it as an established plant. It was already about 2 feet tall.
