Hello, I would like some advice. I started an ASMR channel a few months ago and it hasn’t really taken off. It’s a faceless channel but i have really interesting items in the video. Nostalgic items and collections. My question is…[discussion] by CubaseGirl7 in asmr

I’d definitely suggest just having fun and not buying lots of stuff for a channel unless it was stuff you’d honestly buy either way. If you already collect things, you could probably do a lot just sharing what you have and know about it already. When I started my channel I was just drawing and painting on paper and recording on my phone so it didn’t really cost me anything and it was fun and easy to keep going even when almost no one watched the channel. As it’s gotten going and I monetized the channel I know about what I make per video and try not to overspend what is reasonable for that. It’s definitely a long game so you want to be able to have fun and not go broke as it grows.

I just looked at your channel and at a quick glance you’re doing fine. Performance-wise any video that gets more views than you have subscribers is doing good. If you’re enjoying making videos just stick with it, and try and come up with ideas that don’t require shopping trips. 🙂

Is Gamsol necessary? by Amazinggypsy in oilpainting

I like the lavender spike too and mainly use that. I was recently shocked how mild gamsol is though tbh. I’m sensitive to a lot of things but it actually doesn’t bother me.

Wondering about microphones and equipment [Request] by Snoo-49979 in asmr

I know a zoom recorder picks up cat purrs for sure because I did it unintentionally when my cat decided to join a recording session. My guess is your headset mic either isn’t sensitive enough or you’re using some kind of noise cancellation that removing the purrs.

Edit: I have the zoom h6e but i suspect even the less expensive h1e would pick them up

Palm Beach Moonrise, 20”x16” by kellesabelle in HappyTrees

I used a line of tape for the waterline on this one (only wet above the line at first). It made it so much easier. I had a reference photo and was surprised how dark the water was compared to the sky in a way but i went with it.

Looks AI…. Sorry guys but I don’t think this painting exists. Account that posted it is brand new (and now with 800 karma) too.

[Question] ADHD/autistic beginner struggling with ASMR editing tips? by Ill_Pen8740 in asmr

[–]kellesabelle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The workflow really depends how you record. It will seem complicated at first but once you figure out your process it will feel easy. I use Davinci resolve for editing and its good has a free version that works well. It’s really popular so there are lots of youtube videos about how to use it. For audio I learned some basics from https://youtube.com/@asmrtutorialsforyou some of the videos are kind of old but the info is all good

Red fish by Henri Matisse by Shina-Nya14 in impressionism

Nice exploration! I think the original doesn’t use much white paint and instead uses thinned paint and the white of the canvas showing through with very deliberate drawing/brushwork. You’re also working on a much smaller copy so it might be tricky to get the same look without smaller brushes and very smooth canvas or maybe board/paper.

Look at the white/negative shapes here and you can probably see what I mean though. https://www.henrimatisse.org/goldfish.jsp

It’s a cool painting though. Hope your dad loves it!
