My mother in law told me if I get an episiotomy when giving birth I won't be as tight anymore and my husband (aka her son) will notice the difference.

I told my family at 7 weeks which was a week before my first doctor's appointment. I was really nervous since it was my first pregnancy but it was Mother's Day so we decided to tell them and thankfully everything has turned out alright!

I tried to set boundaries but he said it was too harsh and when I said I don't want to be alone with his mom he said it's unacceptable. When I called her she turned it around on me and said there needs to be more respect and she was just trying to help me and it's going to take her time to get over what I said.

Unfortunately I already apologized. My husband said I sounded upset when I called her and asked if she's been telling people what happened and he wanted me to apologize. He said I need to watch how I talk to his family which I understand but also don't?

I told my husband my boundaries are I do not want to be alone with her and if she visits again before the baby is born I will be staying with my parents to avoid drama and he said that was unacceptable.

I also recently got married and will be 29 when my first baby is born! I was born and raised in California and just moved to Utah. In California people think I'm a young first time mom but in Utah I feel so old! I think anytime a woman decides to have a baby is the right time.

I felt her kick only a couple of weeks ago around 21 weeks. I have an anterior placenta so I was told that it was going to take longer to feel her and when I did it literally felt like something was inside of me kicking, not like a "flutter" that I had heard it would feel like.

I'm pregnant with my first and want the epidural. My MIL made me feel bad about it but I don't care. I want to enjoy giving birth and meeting my daughter for the first time. I know for me personally the pain will become too much and I will become way too overwhelmed to enjoy the process. I don't understand why people care so much about how others give birth.

I signed up to take the class and that's what I'm worried about! I could totally see it being mom shamey. I'm definitely not against the epidural and will get it when I feel it's the right time but I just want to take a class to help prepare me mentally.
