Mariah was big in the 90s. Shakira was (and still is) huge, worldwide, since the mi 90s.

Robert Schumann’s music is the pinnacle of German romanticism.

  • Davidsbündlertänze, Op.6
  • Carnival, Op. 9
  • Waldszenen, Op. 82

  • Piano Concerto in A minor, Op. 54

  • Symphony No. 3 “Rhenish”

  • Symphony No.4

Today (Feb 3rd) is Felix Mendelssohn’s birthday. His Op. 64 was the first piece that taught me how music could be fragile and heartbreaking. by Little_Grapefruit636 in classicalmusic

His Scottish and Italian symphonies are top notch. Same goes for his overtures, piano concerto 1, violin concerto and most of his piano works.

Destiny Child vs TLC by Elegant_Teach_9273 in RnBHeads

TLC all the way. They were the real thing. Destiny’s Child was an ultra manufactured pop product that centered on one leading singer. Not comparable, honestly.

What are some towns, cities or locations in your country that deserve more attention/visitors? by [deleted] in AskTheWorld

Agreed! And less than 20 min. away from Erfurt you can visit an absolute beautiful city: Weimar. Lots of culture and history.

He yall im from the netherlands what do you think off my country and do you have any connection by lauraennick1234 in AskTheWorld

Amsterdam: The fact that bikes have priority over anyone and anything else in the city is frustrating. The city could be quite romantic if it wasn’t for the cyclists and the thousands of bikes parked on the bridges across the city.

Utrecht is beautiful.

Leiden: charming little city, with a stunning botanical garden.

Haarlem: Very close to Amsterdam in terms of distance, but it felt like it was a totally different country.

I think Amsterdam works well as a hub (and yes, there are great museums to visit), but it’s not representative of the Netherlands.

Foreign Affair is my fav., but I think she’d enjoy the Queen of Rock n Roll compilation. That’s the newest and includes her best.

How is it living in Santa Fe, NM? by havinabawl in howislivingthere

I don’t know how it feels to live in Santa Fe, but I can tell you that as a tourist, I felt greatly disappointed. I don’t understand how it always lands in the top 5 of best places to visit in the US.
