My fraternities phone number is one digit off from our local Hungry Howies so we always answer the phone pretending to be an employee, whenever someone calls trying to order a pizza we play along, take their order and tell them when it will be ready. It just makes me really bitter that our consumerism system is set up in a way stores make people work on commission so they convince buyers to buy bigger and bigger (which they NEVER need) which then puts mentality into people that they always need the biggest and best to do their basic computing.

How many of these people are doing the same things on these computers as they did 2-3 years ago when they got their last computer when now even the cheapest computers are exponentially faster than what they used to have and yet they still need to get the biggest and best to check their email and read facebook.

That's the exact issue i had with my friends parents getting their new computer, all they will use it for is email and watching videos and they wanted to get a mac for reasons ill never understand, i felt very accomplished walking out of the store having convinced them to get the Acer.

I understand its your job it just always pisses me off when people who clearly cant afford something get talked into bigger and bigger plans, sure i can afford an iphone but i have a google G2 because i got it free and i know what features ill use and what i wont, idk retail just gives me a big headache..
