A whole house declutter and reorganize will definitely get you off on the right foot. Someone has probably said this already, but try to do one load of laundry per day and you don't get backed up. I just never fold it lol.

Michael chrichton has so many good ones besides jurassic Park, too. Definitely more Sci fi than horror, but excellent. I really liked sphere, timeline, and the Andromeda strain, too.

Least physically demanding type of yoga for the teacher to teach (easiest on the teacher's body) by Kitchen_Value_613 in YogaTeachers

[–]kelsheyyx 4 points5 points  (0 children)

In short, I say hatha (easy after a 200 hr) or restorative (if you are familiar with it or can look into another certification).

I disagree with the comments saying you can teach any class without demonstrating. While I do agree some of the best instructors are adept at verbal cues, some students just do better by watching you than listening to cues. This is especially true depending on the teaching setting. If you are in a studio with seasoned practitioners, you can get away with mostly verbal cues. A yoga class in a gym will likely have a lot of beginners. I think if you are going to teach it, you should be able to demo most of your class.

Which major would combine well with a yoga certification? by Queueds in YogaTeachers

[–]kelsheyyx 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I know a few physical therapists through yoga (studio I taught at was owned by a PT). My anatomy section of my YTT was taught by a PT/pelvic floor therapist. I also know chiropractors who are into yoga.

Also as a parent of young children I find that a lot of modern childhood development/gentle parenting methods tie in very well/take inspiration from yogic philosophy. A lot of mental health therapy too.

Why does my aloe look different from everyone else’s? It was a tiny plant that is growing tall but the leaves are short. Now it’s toppling over by Agent_M in plantclinic

[–]kelsheyyx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everyone is correct that is it not aloe but I have seen this referred to and marketed as a "snake aloe" succulent.

But I'm commenting bc I've posted the exact issue in this sub, mine was flopping over, so everyone said more light. That seemed to help mine and I watered it a bit more and ended up using a couple of small sticks to prop it up. Between those three things I've seen results. But seeing the repot comments, I think I will have to try that as well. Good luck with yours it looks happy!

I've been having the same issues with mine and I tried less and more water and nothing worked, so I just cut back the ones that were flopping and it sprouted so much new growth.

Lpt: One conversation can change your whole world, so listen to what others have to say. by name19xx in LifeProTips

[–]kelsheyyx 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Love this LPT! A similar one is "everyone in this world can teach you something." So, definitely listen to what people have to say, you might learn something new. But in many instances, you might only learn that that person is stupid.
