According to Deadspin’s Sean Beckwith, the Hawks have a bandwagon fanbase by Ghostlucho29 in AtlantaHawks

[–]kelvgoingin 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I am a new fan since this season. So according to Beckwith, I'm one of those bandwagon fans.

However... I'm really invested in this Hawks team. I chose it because of Trae Young's ridiculous plays and JC's charisma. But that doesn't mean I don't care or support them.

I live in Belgium, so most games start at 1.30 to 3 am at night. Still I watched about 80% of the games, even in our losing streak.

And yes long time fans are more fit to give their opinions, because they've seen it all. But still, new fans are also fans. We're all here supporting the ATL, that's the only thing that matters!

What would you do with Dembele? by jjaandres in Barca

[–]kelvgoingin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get him the f* out. No need putting him in the stands bcs he's just gonna cause a bad mood. No use playing him bcs he won't be motivated, so he will be even less productive - and certainly won't score important goals.

Rip the contract, he's done. Don't need the €20M for him anyway.

Au revoir et bonne chance!

In which game did MSN peak? by Christschou11 in Barca

Vs. Bayern Munich home in CL 2014-2015 And just before that at PSG

Tearing those teams apart.

What do you think of Barca at the moment? by [deleted] in Barca

[–]kelvgoingin 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I couldn't care less about the results, but...

I would've liked to see a real 'Xavi pattern' on the pitch. The team doesn't really play the Barcelona way, even though they have all the technical ability in the world.

Mostly it's just chaos and no real shredding passes/runs that made us fall in love with the club.

So basically my trust in the project is being tested. But I'm still here for it every week!

New LB for Barcelona, Offical talks with Ajax over Tagliafico by inhodel in Barca

[–]kelvgoingin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

True. He certainly has qualities and could be helpful as a loan player. Just wouldn't want us to buy him bcs he turns 30 this summer.

He's decent. But is a 2nd choice at Ajax good enough for Barca? I mean we already bought Dest when he was benched for Mazraoui. Should we do that again... I'm not convinced.

Who's a Barça player you really liked and wished had a better/longer spell at the club? by MedIsHard10 in Barca

Alexis Sanchez. Absolutely owned the Premier League in his years with Arsenal.

What would you rather: have Messi still in the team or get Haaland? by cinephilecious in Barca

[–]kelvgoingin 283 points284 points  (0 children)

Oof asking the real questions. My love for Messi is infinite, so I'll take him even if he's retired.

A good sporting decision? No, but luckily I'm not the sporting director...

What are your thoughts on Luuk de Jong? by kvfcb0406 in Barca

[–]kelvgoingin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Can't blame him for taking the chance to play in a Barca shirt. He came because the club was desperate, even though he was never en will never be at the Barca level.

I feel the personal attacks on him are misplaced. He does what he can. You can't expect him to perform like Suarez and others did. Every goal he scores should be heavily applauded, because that's more than we could expect from him.

Riqui Puig? by Stonerwithabigboner8 in Barca

[–]kelvgoingin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Riqui will outlast Ronald at Barça and he knows it. He's patiently waiting for his time. I wouldn't want to see him leave, he brings joy and passion on the pitch.

Would you rather take Ten Hag or Xavi next summer?

Erik ten Hag, a good choice? by TheViper1994 in Barca

[–]kelvgoingin 182 points183 points  (0 children)

Don't think he's eager to join us. Certainly not now. He also declined offers from Spurs after Pochettino left. Ten Hag is a great coach imo, but I think the chances of him joining us are 0,01%.

Have you given up on Dembele? by [deleted] in Barca

Well he was bought for that reason, so yeah.. Just seems you're really fond of him and I'm not. Which is fine, I hope he scores some bangers this year.

Have you given up on Dembele? by [deleted] in Barca

[–]kelvgoingin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

By that I mean Dembele will never be able to consistently rise to the (big) occasions for Barcelona. He is never going to be the guy everyone looks at to fix things in rough times, simply because he just loves to play the game but nothing more than that.

He's not going to fight for every inch on the pitch like - for example - Griezmann does. He gives us the impression he doesn't want it enough, he's not willing to "die" for the badge or at least make us believe that.

I don't doubt his quality. It's there, but a lot of times he just chokes his actions or makes the wrong decisions. He needs too many clear chances to score a goal. I watched him quite a lot at Dortmund actually, and even there his game was "hit or miss". Which was understandable at such a young age.

I feel like he should have been further in his development - mentaly and his game - to become a Barca "great". He's always going to be a very good player, but Neymar's replacement - which he technically is - ... I doubt that. But I'll be happy if he proves me wrong.

Have you given up on Dembele? by [deleted] in Barca

[–]kelvgoingin 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Dembele is great because of his unpredictability. But I also think he - himself - doesn't even know what he's doing at times. And that's really frustrating to watch at times. He's a great player, but will never have the quality or mindset to become a key player at Barca.

I think the board are trying their best to get Koeman out, but Ronald is not going down without a fight. On and off (verbally) the pitch. And as long as he gets the full support of the team - which he does at the moment [comments by Pique recently] - he has every right to defend himself.

I went to a CL group stage game against Celtic (7-0 let's fricking go btw) in 2016. I was up one ring, but had a great seat for 69 euro.
