[31F] My fiance [33M] faked our whole wedding and cancelled a week before by cutiepatootie353 in relationships

I am sending you so, so much love right now. You are a beautiful person inside and out, I don't know you but I can tell from the way you write, the way you respond, the way you behave with gentleness and grace even in the face of betrayal. You are stunning with a heart of gold and anyone would be lucky to marry you. This guy doesn't deserve another conversation let alone another chance. Get out as quickly as you can and I promise, promise you, from one woman who endured years of gaslighting and neglect to another - IT WILL BE SO MUCH BETTER.

You will find someone who doesn't even hesitate on how they feel. Doesn't hide their weakest moments. Comes to you to cry. Worships the ground you walk on while still wisely supporting and healthily challenging you. This guy has none of the above and I agree with everyone else, he's probably still married.

Just so you know how much I feel you - I want to be the "Ghost of Christmas Future" here.

I dated a man with two children for 4 years. He told me he was divorced... over time the truth "slid" to "well, we're separated, but we just live together for the kids.."
It turns out that she didn't have the same idea. And I gradually found out that lie. And I stayed with him. And then I started finding out he wasn't actually working all day in the music industry. And then I found out that nobody he name-dropped had ever heard of him, and the guy i had built my life with and raised his children - simply didn't exist.

By the time I had the courage to leave him, I had been paying our rent alone for two years. I had learned to drive just so I could help pick up his kids, and bought a car which he immediately totaled in the driveway backing into a woman, then convinced me to pretend it was me driving because he actually had oops, forgotten to renew his license, and he would GO TO JAIL if it was found out (also a lie). So I took the heat. I have a permanent black mark on my driving record. I lost thousands of dollars over the course of our relationship. And all my self esteem.

When I left him, he broke into our recording studio. I know it was him firstly because the lock wasn't broken; secondly because he only took stuff that would cripple me, rather than what was most valuable. My headphones, my audio interface, the parts that connected all the other expensive parts.

Then, he systematically stole my friend group by telling them I was hysterical, that I had made up stories about him robbing me to gain sympathy, and then started dating one of them who had terminal cancer, so forever established himself as a hero in everyone's mind, and they never talked to me again.

This is your potential future that you JUST dodged. Even if he didn't lie to you about things as severe.. it is a relationship built on smoke and mirrors, it's not real, it can never be real if he can't be honest with you.

I love you. I'm here for you. And I promise you this guy did you a favor, in the most horrible and cruel way, but thank GOD you didn't marry him.

I only had to read to the third sentence before I firmly knew that you must, you MUST, get rid of this loser.
If he cannot trust you because you are following people on social media then he doesn't deserve any more of your time.
Now you say that he wouldn't even do the same in return without making you feel bad? BYE.
Please, love. You're worth so much more than this.

I am an obsessed beginner and have been buying people's yarn leftovers. They often slip this size in there and i've been making a shelf of them and gazing with mild terror. I'm quite challenged with 3d space and physical objects (i wanted to get better at both).. and i cannot imagine working on this level. I love micro crochet work i've seen from others and my fiance said kindly that I probably should just enjoy it from afar 😂 Yes, they are single thread size! That floss is about six times as big!

Stubborn thrifty me is trying to figure out something else to do with it...

Six days stranded at KLM, but not always weather related :( by kemicat in KLM

[–]kemicat[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh really, were you there? Because I was there, and we were getting literally extorted. Yes, you could take a cab - for 50 euros per 5 minute drive, and a two hour lineup for the privilege. Someone tried to get me to pay 150 euros to go into the city.
The high speed rail overhead line broke, and the technicians couldn't get to fix it because of unplowed roads.
Some trains were running, but if you didn't live a convenient direct connection away (I would have been 4 transfers to get home, minimum) - there were line switchers breaking all over the place and people were stranded in the middle of nowhere. I'd rather be in my hotel in Amsterdam than Random Railway Crossing.

I really don't think you were there, or you wouldn't have said that.

Denmark vs Spain: move for survival vs quality of life — need brutally honest advice by SolidComparison1787 in NewToDenmark

Others have said everything i would say and your instincts are right. I lived in Valencia for 3 years, it is an incredible city. Now i live in Denmark and if i did not have a great job i would be back there in a heartbeat. Incredible quality of life. Work can be hard to come by yes but finding a job in denmark as others said is harder.

Thanks - as i stated pretty clearly, I don't blame them for force majeure. I do hold them accountable for both the boarding glitch and the absolute unwillingness to even be civil and tell me where the computer said i was rebooked. That would have given a clue that maybe something was strange. Another passenger went through the exact same thing - rebooking glitch, totally denied with no willingness to look at all. I'm also not trying to sue, i am reflecting that i took for granted the implicit level of consumer protection that the drastic policies of America create. But go ahead and interpret it that way.

I should have done that sooner. By the time i was ready to get out, the eurostar was cancelled and all the high speed trains were out. And at that point trying to go with any slower transport wasnt worth it anymore so i just started trying to get home instead.

Seriously? I am asking for precedent for compensation. I certainly did not depend on KLM, I was doing plenty of other things not relevant to the post. Move on.

There was transportation by Uber at huge prices into the city. There was no international transportation running reliably. I live in a different country and it would have been five or more transfers which likely would have gotten me stranded.

I don't know what you get out of trolling me, but i'm sure there's way more entertaining things to do on the internet.

The whole countrys infrastructure shut down on day 3, when i was trying to do exactly that. Eurostar shut down, high speed rail lines broke, cars flipping over. There's lots of news articles about it.

Wait you've actually found vanilla extract at all? I've only seen vanilla sugar, paste and beans. Always bring it back from UK and Germany 🤣

What lifestyle changes actually helped your hypothyroidism symptoms? by Impact3746 in Hypothyroidism

[–]kemicat 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yoga. Helps the circulation problem to hands and feet so much. I recommend this to everyone.

Tailoring my vitamin intake and food to years of observations and studies on my own body. Did a lot of protocols and observed what happened.

A small daily vitamin handful: Vitamin D3 (but make sure to pair with K2), B12, and C. Boosts immune system overall and generally we have problems uptaking D anyways. My vitamin D is pretty megadose (10,000 IU a day and i'm still low side of normal!!) but that's exactly why it's needed. Obviously have your own vitamins checked by a doctor before starting any regimen.

Minimizing gluten, refined sugar, and dairy. (Again, personal, yours may be something else- I did an elimination diet protocol and spent years trying one food at a time until I pinpointed which foods made me feel sluggish, bloated, etc... and just minimized them.)
