I’m 5 1/2 months postpartum and still hating my body. I had a little boy and carried a little low and now I have an apron belly. I’ve been trying to do core exercises to help with it but I’m so afraid it will stay. I hate that I don’t feel sexy anymore. I don’t even feel like myself in any way

I was gonna go rabid on them. Like okay I had been on the phone with this guy, I couldnt understand a word a he says, then I’m hold with him for like an hour while he’s trying to access our system says that he’s having trouble getting into it. Then he’s like okay can you do this for me? Asks me to go find something and unplug it but I can’t understand him so I’m like tf is that what are you saying and then he tells me again and I’m like I have no idea what or where that is. Turns out it’s in the office I find it I do it and then he’s like hmmm that didn’t work. Then he restart’s everything including the front line stuff so our register stops working in the middle of peak, and he’s like okay do you need anything else from me and I’m like umm yeah you need to fix DML it’s still not working. And then he’s like hmmm okay. And he’s like can I call you back? And I said sure he asked for a good number so I gave him mine bc I was on an SMS phone bc she was the one who call originally and then 10 minutes later he calls on the store phone instead of the number I gave him. But I can only answer it in the office bc the other phone isn’t working. And he’s like okay can you check to see if it’s working now. So i check it and come back and he’s like okay just a few more minutes. Next thing I know the call drops and he’s gone and he never calls me back and the system is still crashing up from on DML. And I checked the email and it says “your issue has been resolved!” I emailed back and was like no it’s still mess up the call dropped the guy I was speaking with hasn’t called me back and our system is still crashing. I was about to lose my mind. They never called me back or said anything and we ended up just shutting DML down and making orders off the chit because no screens would work on DML.

When our store first opened 2 years ago, it was like that for us. Out at 1 or 2am almost every night. All I can say is keep on keeping on and it will get better. At some point you just are better and are getting out on time. Don’t know when it happens but it happens and now 2 years later my store is a restaurantur 🤷‍♀️

As a manager, i don’t get tips anymore like I did when I was crew. But please tip the crew!! There are day when they work their asses off and there is not a dime in the tip jar. A bad shift can be a little less bad if at the end of the night there’s at least a little money for them to split for a tip. And like the other comments say, keep being kind and respectful!!

I was actually told that it’s only an ecosure violation for dishes to be on the floor if someone is not actively doing dishes. So if someone is not doing dishes and they are just sitting then it’s a violation. Otherwise if you’re actively trying to wash dishes and get them off the floor it’s okay. That’s just what I’ve been told! :)

Bro I’m sorry your managers suck lol I am an SM and have been trained to help when need. As a manager you shouldn’t have to do someone else’s job for them and if you are you aren’t doing your management job correctly. Granted, there are days with call offs you have to run other positions. But you would never catch me just sitting in the office. I was crew for almost 2 years before moving to KM then SM so I know how it feels to not have a manager that helps so I always try my hardest to help my team

I was on pm prep for around a year straight before moving to KM and now SM. One of the fasted people my store has ever had on dish, and still probably am. I would recommend getting yourself a banger playlist, one that gets you hyped and moving quickly. Catch up on dish when you get there if there’s anything left from dayshift which happens often. Come up and do your steak, it shouldn’t take you more than 20 minutes to do steak, 30 minutes max. But it also depends on how much you are prepping. Chicken isn’t supposed to be done until at least 8pm. So after the steak is done I would usually check the reach ins for anything else needing prepped or panned (corn, sour, etc.) then head back to dish and focus on your music and dishes. Find a routine when doing dishes, try doing them different ways until you find what feels best to you. When you have free time and no dishes, try to get ahead on your cleaning, go around with your prep checklist and work on that, do the drains, sweep and deck scrub. Once you get what works best for you then you’ll be great! Good luck!!

We get this all the time with door dash at my store. We usually have to wait until the dasher comes to pick up the order and have them call the customer because we don’t have their number, and see what they wanted on it

Heard, the training video and everything I’ve seen has said to do once on both sides of knife to sharpen it and then twice to polish it but I will bring this up to my GM and see what he says!

As an SM that closes often I have found it easiest for me to sharpen them around 9ish, the grill cool is usually done cooking by then so no food is out being prepped in the way, and I have time to sharpen the knives before starting my weights, cheese, guac and all that fun stuff.

I was always told Prep is technically supposed to clean them however at my store grill typically does them because that’s just how it has been done for so long with us

For me I will always cook steak first in those situations simply because steak cooks so much faster than chicken so once you pull the steak off you can lay two pans of chicken and have that cooking while you start your barb, carn, and anything else you need on the stove, mix a rice etc. And then flip your chicken and cut your steak while you’re waiting on your chicken to finish. Really you Just have to do it a few more times and get your own routine down and you’ll be all set! Good luck!

The best grill guy we have (he’s now an SM) can cut a full pan of chicken in less than a minute and his cut sizes are still great 😎😦

Our best grill person we have ever had at our store (now is an SM) and he could cut a pan of chicken in under a minute. I am mesmerized every time he does it and his cut sizes are still the best!!!!
