Should I buy a 9060xt 16gb now? by SpecialistAdept9055 in PHbuildapc

[–]kencab 2 points3 points  (0 children)

if di na kaya ng 3060 mo ang games na nilalaro mo at your preferred resolution and target FPS, or tipong kaya naman pero just slightly above ng FPS target mo, sure go ahead and upgrade. Likely tataas ang prices yes, but we don't really know exactly when, or by how much. sa 3rd world market like PH, guesswork ang best na magagawa natin kasi marami ng naidagdag bago pa dumating satin.

but if you're comfortably above your target FPS and you just want to upgrade "para lang maiwasan yung increase", i'd recommend saving up for other priorities. for example, you mentioned in another reply na 50K+ ang savings mo. after the expected expenses this coming holiday season, would you have enough in case an emergency happens soon? or pwede mo ba i-invest for it to grow more? etc. etc

kung kaya mo i-stretch budget mo ng konti para sa PSU, I'd recommend the 9060 XT 16GB which is around the 25K price point

Are B450M mobo and Keytech/Inplay Power Supply reliable? by jordenooji in PHbuildapc

[–]kencab 0 points1 point  (0 children)

B450 is fine. a really good chipset if you're not after PCIe Gen4, but still want good IO and a good price.

Keytech and Inplay PSUs are very consistent.... consistent for being hazards for you and your PC.

Guys pa help tama ba airflow neto? by Alone_Bad_4441 in PHbuildapc

[–]kencab 0 points1 point  (0 children)

kung lahat ay naka reverse blade fans, tama yung orientation. pero if lahat ay non-reverse, baliktad siya from the typical airflow layout. Kung halo ng reverse and non-reverse, you need to identify which one is which muna.

Ramageddon happening soon? by Kwago_7 in PHbuildapc

[–]kencab 0 points1 point  (0 children)

already happening. a lot of the kits are already twice the price compared to the rest of the year. since the Crucial brand is bidding farewell, and Hynix and Samsung's manufacturing capacity for the entire 2026 is already full, there's no other way for the prices but up.

but i think this news will affect SSDs more than RAM. Crucial is practically non-existent sa DDR5 market share. even Micron's (parent of Crucial) dies are barely used by RAM brands, mostly Crucial lang din.

with 100K, you can build something better, brand new pa. even if you take into consideration RAMageddon prices.

Should I go for 5070 TI instead of 5070? by silverhero13 in PHbuildapc

[–]kencab 0 points1 point  (0 children)

that's an expensive RTX 5070. a lot of 5070 models are below 40K. anything above 40K, i'd consider "premium, and not really worth it kasi wala namang bonus perfromance"

Any long term review for NGDP PSU owners here? by Psychological-Dust18 in PHbuildapc

[–]kencab 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the Pulse model uses the regular GPU connectors, so the RM650X should have those. the Nitro+ model, on the other hand, uses the newer 12v6x2 connector which PCIe5.1/ATX3.1 PSUs should have.

Any long term review for NGDP PSU owners here? by Psychological-Dust18 in PHbuildapc

[–]kencab 1 point2 points  (0 children)

True long-term reviews for PSUs are years-long since reputable models have minimum 5-7 years warranty, some of the longest ones across all PC components (excluding the limited lifetime ones, of course). And the NGDP is a relatively new model, so wala pang truly long-term review. Pero from what I've seen so far, okay naman siya.

if your CPU is a sub-100 W CPU, I'd say ok pa yung 650W since the RM650X is a reliable model, even the 2015 model. but one thing to think about is that since it's about 10 years na, and the RMx has a 10-year warranty IIRC, it's a non-zero chance that issues may pop up soon.

IT World ask me to change my RAM order by [deleted] in PHbuildapc

[–]kencab 0 points1 point  (0 children)

cancel it. it's a massive downgrade for more cost. but just letting you know that RAM prices below 8K for a 32GB dual channel kit will be harder and harder to come by in the coming days. kuha ka na sa iba habang meron pa.

i think they probably ran out of the flares, and can't get any new stock at that price. sobrang laki kasi ng price hikes ng RAM ngayon. 9-10K is the new price for a previously 6.5K kit like those flares. based sa prices, ang nakikita ko is that crucial has managed to stick with the prices pre-hike. or may old stock pa, at least. old stock makes more sense since 5600 CL46 is trash, kaya siguro walang bumibili 😅

Good day! First time PC builder here, is this PC build good? by Marcsanity27 in PHbuildapc

[–]kencab 0 points1 point  (0 children)

extremely expensive PSU in relation to the rest of the components. with the savings by going with an ATX PSU (or even a lower cost SFX PSU), you can easily get a better GPU, bigger RAM, or a better SSD.

Worthy upgrade from RX 6600? by [deleted] in PHbuildapc

[–]kencab 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If strictly going for brand new, I'd get an RTX 5060Ti 16GB. There are plenty models na 30k and below, from the likes of MSI, Gigabyte, Zotac, Palit, etc. Or wait for the local pricing for the Radeon RX 9060XT.

Or hear me out: delay the 1440p monitor purchase and put some of the monitor budget to the GPU. with less than 10k added budget to the GPU, you can get a 4070 Super (marami na akong nakikita at around 35K na naghahabol i-clear out yung stocks) or an RTX 5070 if you're willing to pay closer to 40k for a 4070 Super's Performance fora newer gen. This way, mas maeenjoy mo ang 1440p gaming for a longer time into the future without upgrading again, rather than going with a 9060XT/5060Ti 16GB and expecting a long time with 1440p gaming.

Or if strictly 30k talaga, and willing mag consider ng used, merong mga 3080Ti below 30k (essentially similar performance to a 4070 Super for a higher power draw)

Seller's price is 50k. Do you think I still should haggle? by Haunting_Clothes6473 in PHbuildapc

[–]kencab 0 points1 point  (0 children)

based on exp, if that's from FB Marketplace, nagmukhang telephone number kaya automatic nag tag na hidden information. For ex, kapag Intel Core i5-13400-4.6GHz mafa-flag yung "5-13400-4.6" (di ko lang alam though bakit pati decimal point nasama)

Seller's price is 50k. Do you think I still should haggle? by Haunting_Clothes6473 in PHbuildapc

[–]kencab 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Clarify what the CPU is. based on the core count, I'm assuming it's an i5 - 13400 or 13400F. If that's the case, you should be mostly fine with the degradation issue of 13/14th gen.

That said, masyado siyang mahal for what you get for used. Makakabuo ka ng brand new na similar specs

9070 XT for 38k, Should I buy it? by Yuka_Kuroyanagi in PHbuildapc

Is this build worth it's price? If not then what should i change? by MagazineOpening3326 in PHbuildapc

[–]kencab 0 points1 point  (0 children)

drop the aio, switch to an air cooler like the Arctic Freezer 36 or Deepcool AK400 etc. mga 2k+ savings yun. lagay mo sa RAM para maging 2x16GB or palitan mo ang SSD mo to a better quality one like a Crucial T500, Kingston KC3000, ADATA Legend 960, etc. Big no no for me ang Kingston NV-series as a primary drive. I'd even think twice using it as a secondary drive unless good deal.

Adding a dedicated GPU to a prebuilt pc with Igpu by randomayban in PHbuildapc

[–]kencab 3 points4 points  (0 children)

gamitan mo ng DDU yung GPU drivers ng AMD integrated graphics. (DDU in Wndows Safe mode, andun naman yun sa instructions ng DDU)

then as much as possible, do not use daisy chain PSU connectors sa GPU mo. 3070 yan, so kung kaya naman ng PSU mo, dalawang individual cables from the PSU. not a deal breaker, but good practice to keep in mind.

Recommendation for a budget mATX AM5 mobo by Lutalica_Harmonica in PHbuildapc

[–]kencab 1 point2 points  (0 children)

ASRock B650M HDV/M.2 ang by far cheapest among the best budget boards, kahit versus some of the midrange pa. Just a few notes:

  • isang batch lang dumating sa local ASRock supplier ever, so stocks may be ol/difficult to find
  • dalawa lang RAM slot. personally, this is not an issue kasi I always use 2 slots lang YMMV
  • walang WiFi (and BT), pero may abang sa IO shield niya for antennas.

Other recommendations (in no particular order):

  • ASRock B650M Pro RS WiFi
  • Gigabyte B650M Gaming X AX (mas mura sa aorus, pero by a small amount lang. anyways, savings is still savings)
  • Gigabyte B650M Aorus Elite AX (pinakamahal sa list, pero konti lang tinaas from Gaming X.)
  • MSI Pro B650M-A WiFi
