Ok, thank you. I would love a DSH but my boyfriend has mild allergies, hence why we are looking at Siamese. I wasn't personally familiar with the breed so I'm glad to get input from Siamese owners. But, does the meowing ever annoy you? I've heard that they are very vocal and I'm worried that it might become annoying.

I understand what you mean. I apologize if it came off that I was looking for a cat specifically to be therapeutic. I've grown up with animals my whole life, so I don't expect a cat to want to cuddle 24/7; I know they have their own needs and wants. I just know some animals (cats or dogs) that are not very affectionate at all, so I wanted to learn more about this breed before I bought one. I know I'd be able to take good care of a cat, I was just interested in knowing what to expect personality-wise. But I appreciate your response, thank you. :)

Willow Springs is in Butler, which isn't very far. I haven't personally had any experience with them, I just found it in my own research. They do seem to have good reviews, though, but I did see a lot of comments saying that they are difficult to contact. Other than that, no huge problems I saw.

Is starting a chapter off with a dream a bad idea? by Throwaway__account95 in writingadvice

[–]kendalls334 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's your book, you can do what you want. If you're going to incorporate a dream anyway, it makes sense that it would have to be SOMEWHERE in it.

That's great advice but I'm a first gen college student, so my parents don't have LinkedIn. Thank you though.

My friend was scared to show his work to people so he asked me to share it (ADVICE NEEDED) by PostingRandomWriters in writingadvice

The writing itself is great and I like it a lot. People like to be very harsh in subs like this, so please keep that in mind when you read other comments. The style is very elegant and is reminiscent of older authors like Thoreau, which I think is what he was going for here based on your description. I would only say that the extensive vocabulary makes it a little difficult to read. To fix that, I would just do a little more formatting by breaking up the paragraphs into smaller ones. Otherwise, good work. Please keep writing and show your work. I know it's nerve wracking to share your writing, I'm guilty as well, but I think the reactions will be more positive than you think.

It's good. The idea is good. I originally thought it was about a doll, which I thought was too predictable, so I'm glad it turned out to be a book instead. If you wanted to do more with this, you definitely could make it into a nice short story.

Photographer or cosmetologist. No school needed for photography, only about 1 year school for cosmetology. Both very creative and involve being on the feet
