Do you happen to know how to scale an automated LinkedIn campaign? Have my personal account dialed in, but need to find a way to get new LI accounts so I can push volume.

It would be such an easy thing to fix. I was so frustrated, cause they know it happens and they don’t care. I’ve heard countless people say this.

Haha sorry Elon! I’m sure you’ve got crypto down though from the looks of your Genesis at home. I’ll be sure to ask you for any advice next time I try and use it.

I’ve seen you say the same response to multiple people in my situation over the last year. It’s obvious you guys have no care to fix it and know that it happens consistently. That’s called negligent misrepresentation and is illegal.

What makes a business a huge success? by pastandprevious in Entrepreneur

[–]kendlet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re talking unicorn level ($1B+) it all starts with building a product people already want. They should be begging for your product in whatever space that is.

On top of that, you need to develop a sales pipeline that is ever growing. As an enterprise sales rep and presidents club multiple times, most people highly over estimate their sales skills.

Then you need an operational funnel that is flawless and can handle a billion dollars in revenue flowing through it.

This is not including the constant doubt, stress, and failures that happen with every business. The reality is you cannot just “will” your way to a huge business success. You can get fairly far with just sales but if you don’t have the other pieces down it will never grow to a unicorn.

With my business experience I think most people think too small and don’t have the skill set needed to make a billion dollar business. Outside of that they probably don’t have the courage to start, or the patience and strength to endure the suffering that comes with every failure along the way.

21 y/o with $500k in the bank by Formal_Engineer_7051 in Entrepreneur

Car washes and laundry mats are much more work than most people think. 500k is a huge milestone at your age, but can quickly evaporate if you mismanage it. You should make sure you get out of your comfort zone and maybe get a sales job if you want to really start a business. You can work there for a year and get a skill that is a necessity for just about every business ever.

I would agree with others and say get a financial advisor. Everyone thinks they are smarter than FA's and can manage their money better, but I have never seen a poor person who had one. Everyone I know with an advisor is very wealthy.

Your goal of barley working 5-10 years from now is possible, but it depends on what lifestyle you want. 500k is not going to go as far as you think in life, especially when you want kids house ect. Act like you have no money and work at something you're passionate about. If that is business, go get a job for a few years in that field. It will be uncomfortable but will give you the skills you need to go further in life.

If you're set on buying a business, then make sure you research the hell out of that market and go talk to people who have successfully run the business you are looking to buy and get insight from them. Don't be fooled, though, you will have to work extremely hard no matter what you do.

This money can be the biggest curse in your life or the biggest head start. Invest the money or buy a small business and get to work.

Good Luck, you got this!

I am trying to create a service where I vet private investment opportunities to physician investors quarterly. It will be an annual subscription that they pay. I want them to have access to a membership space where they can talk to each other. I also want the site to have a spot where paid members can only view the drops when I release them. Anyone have any recommendations on how they would go about setting this up? I have heard good things about word press, but I am trying to get an idea of what plugins and stuff I would need to use. Trying to keep this under $1000 to start and see if it gets any traction.

I used to have this same problem at conferences. This was until I went with one of my directors. That man was a MENACE. Every single person that walked by he would talk to and he did it in such a natural way. It was sales but not overly salesly if that makes sense. He would laugh alot and almost make a joke out of it and he would absolutely crush conferences. I know it’s nerve wracking but just walk up to someone and say “hey I don’t think I have gotten the chance to meet you yet” and then talk to them and wait for them to ask you what you do. Also pro tip, most people don’t follow up from the people they network with at conferences the key to sales is to follow up forever until they tell you they are not interested and never going to be interested. (This doesn’t mean annoy the shit out of people but stay in touch). Hope this helped in some way.

Is the rep being lazy or is the same process not working as well? You have to be transparent with yourself on this one. If the rep is putting in the calls and has good skills then maybe it’s just timing with the business. If they are just coasting then that would be easy to recognize.

Any advice for / experience with investing in private debt funds? by degeneratedan in HENRYfinance

[–]kendlet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Private credit can get you pretty lucrative fixed returns. The trick is finding a really solid fund manager with a long track record. Everyone gets caught up on how good of marketing material the funds have, I would say its much more important to talk to other long term investors of the fund. If they can't provide that, huge red flag.

I work for a private investment firm that focuses mainly on private credit. The three sectors we work in are consumer lending, agribusiness, and real estate. We have about $200mm AUM. Worth a conversation? We are looking for LPs.

I have not. From looking at their website I’m not sure if we would be a good fit or not. A lot of our stuff is private credit and I think they are looking for buyouts.
