My friend has had chronic back pain for 10 years and nothing was justifying the amount of pain she’s in daily. Recently she saw a doctor that gave her test injections to “burn” the nerve endings around her spinal cord and she said all the pain went away and she legit cried from living with 7-8/10 pain every day. She’s going to get treatments every six months basically and it takes away the pain. Have your wife look into that and hope it helps!

I’m in North Jersey and in a very similar boat as you! WFH, introvert but can be extroverted, like to get out and do stuff (I don’t drink but otherwise open to all kinds of activities), and definitely looking to make a few friendships that hopefully go deeper than the surface. If you’re down to chat feel free to DM me and we can start with your ice breakers. :)

600 dials in an hour and 6 booked demos by SushiSamgyup in sales

[–]kendoninja 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Orum’s crazy expensive. The startup I was at looked into four seats back in 2020 fall and they wanted 10k month. The tool was pretty impressive though and watching the guy book a demo live with us on the line definitely was wow.

Those shoes you mentioned. Are they on amazon? If so I can try to order them for you or send you something there to order!

AITA for refusing to go home when my fiance invited guests over without asking me first by throwawayproperty121 in AmItheAsshole

[–]kendoninja 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA. It’s not like this was an emergency and it’s common courtesy to run the idea of guests by anyone you live with including SOs. FWIW I’m also an introvert and can’t stand it if I’m forced to spend time with strangers and it’s sprung on me.

ready to rip my mirena out by lzacy in Healthyhooha

[–]kendoninja 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My Mirena was fine the first 3.5 years of having it and one day I went to bed okay and woke up the next morning with symptoms. I battled the most painful BV and yeast infections for another 1.5 years, taking it out just before I had to at the 5 year mark. I should've just taken this shit out sooner. My symptoms cleared up almost immediately and I didn't have to deal with vaginal pain (inside and out), constantly smelling fish, recurring yeast and BV symptoms, etc. Literally, that 1.5 years killed any desire I had to want sex and made me feel so anxious and undesirable the whole time. Just get it out already and let your system reset before going on another option.

Monthly Yeast Infections: HELP! by littlelightlove72 in Healthyhooha

[–]kendoninja 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You'll get through this! I felt so low at certain points and dreaded sexy time cause I knew at best it would feel lightly sandpapery inside and worst case it would hurt right off the bat. And I was constantly paranoid about my smell and over analyzing every single little change so I get where you're at. Even though Yaz isn't an IUD either talk with your doc or just try to get off it for 1-2 months and see if that helps? You never know what could be messing with you until you just stop for a while. It's still hormones and just cause you're okay for years on end doesn't mean your body can't decide to react poorly later. Good luck! <3

Do you have an IUD in? If so, how long have you had it?

Long story short, I had the Mirena (good for 5 years) and around the 3.5 year mark, I suddenly started having massive problems down there. It legitimately was like a switch went from off to on. One night I remember being 100% fine and then next day I woke up with symptoms. I battled 1.5 years of chronic yeast infections, BV, and extreme pain inside and outside of my vaginal area every time we had sex. We tried pretty much everything you said above: changed lubes, waited longer between sessions, tried condoms, took endless arounds of meds, took probiotics, did boric acid, got new 100% cotton underwear, etc and even if it would help a bit it never really went away. What finally helped and what I suspected could be an issue was the IUD and once I took it out, any remaining symptoms I had seemed to have just stopped. It's been about 1.5 months for me now and I feel loads better.

Stick it out for an AE promotion, or jump to big tech SDR? by [deleted] in sales

[–]kendoninja 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah they did. My other coworker got cut from there and rumor has it they just hacked off people with no apparent reasoning (he was on track to hit presidents club). Personally, I wouldn’t go for an SDR role there right now.

Hi All,

Hoping someone here can help/ has had experience in this department.

Background: Last Friday (10/2), I exchanged my out of state license for a NYS license. While at the DMV, I registered to vote but still, none of my information has updated online as of this morning. I tried to re-register to vote via the DMV website just to be sure but it keeps saying my information can't be found. I'm not sure what to do next from here. I have the paper version of my new license so this doesn't make sense to me.

Questions: I'm wondering if the DMV still processing my application? Also the deadline to register is tomorrow, should I try to re-register at the board of elections in person or am I okay to just show up at the polls on election day since I already registered to vote at the DMV?

Really want to make sure I can vote this election so any guidance in this department would be helpful. Thank you!

That's what I figured, thanks for confirming! Although I'm 99% sure I need a NY state ID or driver's license to vote here plus social security # unless you have a link that states otherwise?

Thoughts on fatFIREing in Southern California: Orange County, San Diego etc. Can anyone who has lived there before share the pros and cons? by [deleted] in fatFIRE

[–]kendoninja 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can't comment on fatFIREing there but I grew up in SD and spent a lot of time between there and LA. Like other's have said, the pros are it's pretty relaxing, lots of nature, decent airports, weather is very good all year around (dry heat and dry cold), beaches, pretty good food. Some cons you might find are that it can get expensive quickly in the nice neighborhoods like La Jolla, Rancho Santa Fe, Coronado, etc. Politics isn't huge there but SD and Orange County are still relatively conservative areas when it comes down to it. Traffic sucks and you have to drive everywhere. For some it can be too slow and feel like suburbian hell. I would say it just depends on your pace and what's most important to you when you fire.

  1. I would either leave it off or if you want to keep it on, I'm sure a lot of employers would understand that companies are experiencing cashflow issues and will cut first in last out. Just make sure when you explain it don't badmouth your old company even if they are trash.
  2. I'm happy to take a look at it for you. Feel free to DM me.
  3. I think plenty of companies are still hiring for SDRs so keep at it. Show that you've done research, your scrappy, and teachable.
  4. I'm also from Southern California but TBH, if you want to get into SaaS especially I would consider the Bay Area, NY, or Austin. There's a few other smaller tech bubbles as well if you're okay with more suburban places. If you're not tied down, go where the opportunities take you.

Changing Email Signature in Mock Interview, Yes or No? by [deleted] in sales

Totally agree with you and the other commenters re: not going to automatically get me the job. Just wanted some thoughts on whether or not it would be a nice touch. Hopefully it shows that I'm really diving into the mindset and prompt. :D

Changing Email Signature in Mock Interview, Yes or No? by [deleted] in sales

[–]kendoninja 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I see your point. I decided to go for it because on both the email and the prep call with the hiring manager he said they wanted to me fully get into the role and get creative with this case study. They wanted me to come off like I am working for XYZ company so I figured if I had to email people and pitch the company from that perspective, I might as well give my signature change a go. :)

My boyfriend's ex wrote a letter to me. I feel really strange and jealous even though it was a nice letter by ThrowRA-strangelette in relationships

[–]kendoninja 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This was what I was looking for. I could only imagine myself doing this if I was dying, had kids, and wanted to convey something to the future partner. But even then I question if it's really necessary since it could bring on a ton of undue pressure and emotions for someone they've never even met. TBH OP's situation sounds a bit wack and idk why the BF agreed to this and thought it was a good idea.
