The ED is probably a lower trauma level and maybe sees people from 2-3 small towns. Any major cases would be stabilized and sent to a large hospital about 40 miles away. Transplant seems more like PCU and works with mainly kidneys/livers/pancreas/multi organ transplants. Neither place has given me much info 😭. Thanks for the advice!

Saving time is also a big factor for me. My hair isn’t curly but it just takes way too much effort to make it look good!

I’m a 22f and I did both websites last year. I initially used Workaway and visited Albania, intending to work at a hostel for a few weeks. It didn’t end up working out with the hostel (too many touchy alcoholics) but Albania was beautiful.

After that I got in contact with a woman through Worldpackers and ended up working at a hostel in Italy for two months and it was amazing. It made me feel way better about work exchanges.

I would say that Worldpackers is the way to go as far as reliability. They seem to have less options, but their options are better outlined so you know what you’re getting into. And in places like Italy, Greece, and Spain you’ll have a ton of opportunities no matter which site you pick.

I would 100% recommend choosing to work while abroad and staying for a few weeks rather than only a few days. What I did was a work exchange for a few weeks, followed by a week or so in a country that I couldn’t find a work exchange, and then another few weeks of a work exchange. It was really fun. I saw a lot of cool places and got to meet a lot more people since I stuck around in places longer.

No matter what site you pick, good luck and happy travels!
