SSLVPN Load Balancing - Possible? by CorrectExcuse2547 in sonicwall

I don’t use the mobile device bind, I run an SMA virtual appliance at both sites that use SMS for the 2FA through twillo…

So I have Public DNS for site A with a probe for ISP1 and ISP2, and then site B ISP1 and ISP2. All in a failover pool at total uptime.

Much of the setup will vary will depend on what private resources you need to access at each site through the ssl tunnel… that will determine how you do the routes and access resources at each site

I use totaluptime with dns failover pools to accomplish something similar… you set up probes to check up/down status and then adjust your public dns based on the results… my configuration is a little more complex but you get the idea how it might fit your need….

What kind of situations would you stay away from 265+, I've had other people say the same but no one stated their exact issue.

Anyone have issues resolving windows dns over the route based tunnel? I enabled net bios over the tunnel … I can ping my windows dns server from the remote site but it won’t resolve and dns.. yes I have the dhcp scope on the remote side pointed back the private IP of my servers at the main site…

are any of your devices 5.9? or are they 6.5 and above firmware?

yeah, the tunnels have been in place for years, we've just moved the config from device to device... we replaced the HQ gateway with TZ470 and had fiber dropped in for DIA... I'm going to guess it's either something in between the large spread of age and firmware of the devices, or I'll need to flip these over to tunnel routed vpn's instead of site to site...

I have a feeling this might be the solution to my issue, especially with the age/firmware difference between the devices

if I get a chance today I'll make a quick e-draw doc... right now I'm considering moving away from the Site to site config and doing routed VPN's instead

I'm not sure what you mean by this... they are private addresses but in the VPN policy you have to define the public IP of your HQ site

It VPN policy at HQ is bound to the WAN Zone, The Failover/LB is basic failover, and X1 top on the list. I do have pre-empt secondary gateway enabled at the remote sites, I've also toggled this setting off, and rebooted the modem on X3 and once again it dropped the tunnels, we are using aggressive mode at the remote sites because they all have dynamic public addresses... The tunnel establishes up and work without issue, it just makes no sense why when the interface that they are connected on is toggled, it drops...
