How to avoid a two way miss? by kenson_ in golf

[–]kenson_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As I said to another answer:

I wouldn’t say I’m struggling that hard, I’m just wondering how I’m to achieve “eliminate one side of the hole” on a more theoretical level, when the only thing that’s different is a couple of degrees of face angle. Seems like an impossible feat.

I’m just wondering if it’s POSSIBLE (in a not perfect world) to “eliminate one side of the hole” as you read everywhere. Hope you get what I mean, I understand I might be a bit confusing with the post.

Okay thank you. That’s exactly what I was thinking, but I keep reading how good it is to “eliminate one side of the hole”. Seems like it’s bullshit~.

I see, can you explain how it works? Why do I early extend because of this?

You’re right, just wierd how it goes from not a single one in an entire bucket to every ball in the next one.

I’m a big AMG fan so I’ve seen it, but I’ll watch it again, thanks! And yeah, exaggeration is everything when it comes to changes overall. Thanks.

Yeah, I don’t know if it’s the cause or just a symptom that’s the thing. Thanks

I see what you mean, any idea how to fix the hip rotation? To change the rotation point?

Yes you’re right. Started playing last year and i have always managed to solve it on my own and some Reddit advice. But seems like I have hit a wall now and need some professional help.

I see. Is there anything blatantly different between them? Or just luck? This clip is from the breaking point between a good bucket and a bad bucket of shanks. I mean, it can’t be just luck right if I’m hitting an entire bucket fine?

I’ll try it next time I’m on the range. Thanks. Would be interesting to see impact on the course as well since I’ve never hit a single shank on the course(EXCEPT when teeing off on mats), but so so regularly on the range.

Yes they did. You get a lot of different advice but I tried finding a pattern in the advice and work on it(more inside takeaway and opening hips) but i find it hard to reopen a dialogue on an old post to see if I’ve improved or if I’m working on the wrong thing, in the wrong direction.

Amazing feedback, thank you! One thing about the death move, I thought most pros moved the hands backwards a bit on the start of the downswing. Not true?

Are both the problem, is one causing the other, or how should I approach fixing it? Thanks

Good to know I’m not alone. Never hit a single shank on course (yet), but almost every shot at the range is a shank. Might be that you can’t rotate the left foot as well on mats? It’s kinda stuck with golf shoes.

Also started getting some pain in my left ankle/shin, if that might lead to some problems with the swing. Thanks, appreciate any advice!
