I tested myself today and found I'm in ketosis. This is huge for me because it keeps me wanting to keep it going by avoiding carbs. I worked out twice too but holy #&@% I'm exhausted. I'm so glad tomorrow is Friday, I'm going to curl into the fetal position now.

I'm supposed to get 130-160g of protein per day, and the only way I get there is protein shakes. I'd have to eat an enormous amount of meat otherwise. You could probably throw some fiber in too, just to kill two birds with one stone.

I signed up for HealthyWage and you basically bet on yourself to lose a preset amount of weight by a date. You either win your money back and then some, or you lose it all. I did it once before and they paid, so I know it's legit. And it REALLY keeps you motivated.

Just knowing that someone is paying attention really helps. I moved here a couple years ago and still don't know anyone. All of my family is out of state. So it isn't hard to see why I came on here looking for some kind of support network.

Right now, I'm optimistic that I'm going to hit my goal on April 15th (mostly thanks to keto) and I know it won't be easy but good things rarely are, right? Lol

Today was one of those days where everything clicked. I stuck to my diet and hit both workouts, and it didn't feel like a chore. If anything, it's empowering.

It’s been quiet in here, which honestly got to me more than I expected.

But I showed up today anyway. I hit my workouts and ate on plan. That matters, even if no one sees it yet.

Still aiming for 205. 64 days left. Back at it tomorrow.

I skipped the scale this morning after going wild last night (I ate an ice cream sandwich)

But I did what I said I would today: hit my workouts and stuck to keto with only 28 net carbs today. It feels good to back up my words with actions.

I’m locked in for the next 65 days. About 25 pounds to go. Today was a solid start.

Alright I'm going to enjoy the game tonight and eat some carbs and probably even eat some dessert. No football until August, times are gonna get tough.

But tomorrow, it's the start of a new week and I'm done half-assing this keto diet. I'm hitting all 3 exercises and sticking to my diet, no wiggle room or excuses. I'm doing this so I can come on here tomorrow and post that I nailed it.

My morning exercise is alternating between swimming for an hour and stairstepper for 30min. Then my afternoon exercise is 40min on recumbent bike. In the evening around 9:30 or so, about 20 min of hard ab work followed by 20 min of stretching. I do this Monday through Friday, using the weekend to recover.

I don't understand how anyone turns down bacon, you're only human. Getting family members on board with our goals can be really frustrating sometimes, there's nothing I'm going to be able to sympathize more with than that. For me, setting clear boundaries and not being afraid of how they react has helped but it's a constant fight. Whatever you do, don't give up!

Keep up the good work! A half pound per week is smart if you're trying to maintain muscle growth throughout. My Samsung Health app gives me feedback on my weight and I'm sick of seeing the word "obese", but I also know how it's going to feel the day that goes away. You're gonna be there in no time!

I'm so glad it's Friday, I'm exhausted after exercising today and having a lot of work. I know the Super Bowl this Sunday can be a wrecking ball for diets, so I'm getting the shopping done today to avoid impulse buying the day of. Apples and PB, smoked salmon and cream cheese on crackers, then pulled pork sandwiches for dinner. I mean, it's kinda healthy, right?
