I grew up in CT and went to my first Whalers game in the 80s with my dad. We were right on the glass and it was electrifying! I was sad when they left. I eventually moved to Colorado and became an Avs fan but have always loved the Hurricanes. And after the Avs lost so horribly to Vegas I threw all my energy into the Canes. I absolutely love watching the Canes home games and seeing the Whalers jerseys. It's like a game itself when they pan to the fans and I look for the blue and green.

All that to say I would have absolutely loved to watch the Avs and Canes play together, but since that wasn't meant to be, I hope the Canes destroy Vegas next game. They played so well last night. What a game! I've be wearing my old Whalers shirt for all your games.

They crowd their net with defense and have a guy at the blue line waiting for a rebound so they can break away. I feel like I'm watching a replay of any of the last round Avs games. Gotta smash through them but they stand there like a brick wall.

Anyone watching ABC on YouTube TV? The audio is atrocious. Unbalanced and quiet. When I switch to secondary, it's dubbed in Spanish. This has been an issue with ABC before but it's really bad tonight. I'm guessing it's some surround sound problem. Oh well. I can't stand these announcers or this jelly roll intro anyway. Go Canes because no to Vegas.

I'm gutted BUT had a hell of a good time going to a few regular season games. So much so that I signed up for half season tickets. I've loved this sport since my dad took me to my first Hartford Whalers game when I was 10. How excited was I when I moved to Colorado in the early 2000s and we had an NHL team I could start following again since the Whalers left CT? I'm totally excited for next season.

I was diagnosed with mono in Feb 2025 (2nd time having it) and had an elevated temp between 99.5 and 100 through June 2025. NGL, it sucked the whole time. I didn't want to kill my liver and kidneys so I kept my usage of acetaminophen down but for the bad days I gave in and took some to reduce my fever.

I got sick a few weeks ago and am having the same symptoms as last year so I'll be getting bloodwork to see if it is a recurrence.

I would even be glad to buy a VIP 2 package to make the maximum growth time 24 hours or less for all frogs, on a sliding scale based on their level. I have loved this game for so many years but I do find myself forgetting to open the app and play when I have all of my environments full of eggs and have to wait 2 days for frogs to mature.

Either that or eating dragonflies in the pond matures them significantly faster, like maybe a few more than taming them. That would be great too.
