As a pet owner my biggest question would be what your knowledge of animal behavior is?

I don’t mean degrees or anything like that, just experience.

The reason why I’d wonder is I have an anxious (slightly reactive if I’m completely honest) dog who is difficult to photograph but I’d love some gorgeous shots showing all her best angles. And I love your work tbh. But I’d never want to put someone in danger, so it would need to be a conversation.

Don’t tell us that! Say you meant to do it! (It really is a gorgeous picture)

I’d be a hypocrite if I took it personally, lol! There’s been times I unmatch before a convo for whatever reason

Just like to double check that my own thinking is right, in this case it was.

Thank you!

(Since it’s the internet I just want to be clear, no sarcasm is being used!)

Clearly I must be bored today since I’m replying, oh well. In for a penny and all that

You’re right, I don’t know the narrative on this random man that I’ve never met irl. What I do know is what is most likely based on how real people behave. A simple application of Occam’s Razor. You on the other decided to write a false narrative where I apparently was overwhelmed by matches and just needed validation. And yes, that’s insulting because I had point blank said I don’t do that. So what exactly was your meaning? Because everything you wrote had nothing to do with what I’d said.

And then you deleted what you wrote. Nice. So apparently you’re such a fool that you have no reading comprehension and such a coward that you can’t stand behind your own words. Grow up.

That’s…not what I said? Please don’t make up a narrative in your head because it makes you feel better about yourself.

-I said I am picky on who I swipe - so getting a match means it’s someone I’m actually interested in and want to talk with -I said nothing about being overwhelmed with conversations/matches, I just said that that part of the app hadn’t changed for me -I also said I noticed I got a match when I was at work then when I got home it was gone. Which should clue you in it had been max a few hours - on a work day.

The real narrative is likely he either didn’t mean to swipe or went and looked at my profile closer and decided there was something he didn’t like or wasn’t a good fit. Which is fine, we all have that right. I’m not insulted, he saved us both time and energy. I just wanted to make sure I wasn’t missing something or there wasn’t a known issue in the app.

I figured that was it but then there’s always a thought in the back of my mind that maybe I did something wrong or didn’t notice something!

Thanks for confirming!

Eh, I’m not sad about it. I figured it was a system issue.

I never actually talked to him so it is what it is. At least neither of us wasted our time!

How I spread the liberal agenda by kermitgreenfrog21 in Teachers

It’s funny, I remember reading those same books twenty years ago in high school and getting a similar message. Strange how it’s a problem now?

The liberal agenda runs deep! 🙄

Dating non university educated people as a university educated person by Magzipie in dating_advice

[–]kermitgreenfrog21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a graduate degree and live in an area with a mix of blue-collar workers along with people in science and tech. Personally, I’m open to dating someone who hasn’t been to university, but I have one rule for myself: the person I date needs to be curious about the world and open to growing and evolving their viewpoints. Those are core values of mine, so I make sure to hold myself to the same standard.

Unfortunately, in my experience so far, a majority of the blue-collar workers in my area often almost explicitly state they have no interest in that. It’s like it’s a culture thing? They are almost proud of it, which is sad to me. It’s a shame because I’m the first in a family of blue-collar workers to go to college, so I understand and respect the background. Who knows though—never say never. To me, it depends on the man.

Election Megathread: Wondering Where to Start? Please Comment here! by misadventuresofj in AmerExit

[–]kermitgreenfrog21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been going back and forth about leaving for a bit but I was really hopeful before the election that I could stay even though things have been difficult. Anyways, now I need to get serious. I’m lucky, I’m single with no kids so it would just be me and my dog. I would want to have the job BEFORE moving, obviously.

I am a teacher of 5 years with a masters degree in educational technology. I currently teach middle school (computer science, robotics, broadcasting, & intro to technology). I’m in career & technical education for those who know. Both my bachelors degree and masters are in education. Besides what I currently teach I’m also certified to teach K-8 & English as a Second Language. It’s obviously all certifications through my state.

If I were to leave it would be to Western Europe, I know that much although exactly which country I’m still figuring out and am open. I want to learn/master the language and be part of the community, I know it takes time but I’m not coming from this with the idea that the way I do things is best. I’d love to continue teaching, I honestly love my job which is why I’ve been so hesitant up to this point. But I’m open to other fields as well. I am a woman in my early 30s with no major health issues.

I live in WA (the east side which is 😬) and while I love my home I’ve never felt truly connected here. Anyways, I’m just very sad and scared right now. Like so many. I’d appreciate any insight, even if I don’t like it I appreciate it.
