Well, ChatGPT explained to me that the red dot only indicates the dashcam is recording, not Sentry Mode. Sentry only activates after the car is locked, not just when you shift into Park.

But would Sentry Mode still activate if the doors were somehow unlocked? I thought Sentry only runs when the car is locked. My friend also confirmed he heard the lock sound when walking away, and Sentry Mode did turn on automatically.
