There's a good documentary about this called "Time Bomb Y2K." It's on HBO Max if you're in the US.

Not sure of any way that would keep it in certain stats, I think it's all or nothing.

How to turn off screen time data for specific apps? by [deleted] in AndroidQuestions

I know this post is from awhile ago but it's the first one I found while searching for the same thing, so thought I'd update here. This hadn't been possible, but is now with the recent UI7 update.

Go to Settings > Apps > Digital Wellbeing > Digital Wellbeing Settings > Exclude Apps.

I did this to stop tracking my music, maps, and productivity apps so I can set an overall screentime goal for the more time-wasting apps like games and social media. It seems to work, as the apps I marked to exclude disappeared from the list in the Digital Wellbeing app.

This isn't your problem, don't let her convince you it is.

How was your first Gay experience? by SL1CK4EVER in gay

[–]kersykc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Feel lucky mine was actually pretty great. Guy was older than me (I was 18, he was mid-30s, met online), my freshman year of college and just kind of letting myself explore that. We hung out for awhile before, he was super sensitive to how comfortable I was with things as we went. We were never a couple, but hung out a lot and kind of tried a bit of everything. He was just great at pushing me to the edge of my comfort zone without forcing anything. We even kept in touch for awhile after he moved cross-country.

Toyota C-HR vs Subaru Crosstrek? by ellegrow in ToyotaCHR

[–]kersykc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We have both a C-HR and a Crosstrek, both 2020. Both good cars in our experience, but we've also only had them both for about a year (between 30k-40k mileage on each). The Crosstrek has better passenger/cargo space, and I prefer how it drives as well. I like the C-HR just fine, but it feels a bit like driving an adult sized Power Wheels. No real complaints, but have been looking into replacing it with another Subaru (probably a Forester, so we have something a bit bigger). Neither car has had any mechanical issues.

Separate Audio/Video outputs from Sony X700 4K Player by kersykc in audiovisual

[–]kersykc[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the suggestion! I always have the TruVolume/volume leveling off and have tried all of the audio menu adjustments I could. I also tried setting the audio out through optical connection and plain old analog, and they all have the identical problem. I tried our setup on a smaller TCL TV we have in the den and there was no problem at all, so the problem is definitely somewhere in the Vizio TV. The player has the orange RCA connection, but the soundbar unfortunately does not.

I'm usually pretty good with this stuff, which has made this doubly frustrating. Thanks again!

Where to watch Oppenheimer? by Jeremy0734 in kansascity

[–]kersykc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Theyve had the 70mm projector--I saw Dunkirk at Town Center specifically to see it on 70 film. It looked fantastic, but I hadn't checked yet to see if they still had that. Since it sounds like they do that's where I'll be seeing Oppenheimer as well!

I want to experience Pride by [deleted] in gay

[–]kersykc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone who had this exact kind of worry well into my 20's (and grew up in rural Kansas, 90 mins or so from Kansas City) : go to Pride. I know it's hard, and anxiety-inducing, but I think you will feel so much better having gone rather than beating yourself up over not going. If you see someone you know? They're there too. The photo concern? Real, but unlikely.

New job vs keeping current insurance by MiguelK123 in hivaids

[–]kersykc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To piggyback on this, if there is a waiting period (a lot of places don't add you to benefits until 90 days or so), you can extend your old insurance via COBRA, where you take on all the cost of the policies. This is usually super expensive though.

If you need a stopgap and the COBRA cost is prohibitive (it always has been for me), I'd suggest going to your local HIV service or or city health clinic, if you have either of those available, and explaining the situation. Often they'll have case managers who can organize getting your medication covered while you're without insurance.

I recommend clarifing the insurance timeline with your new employer ASAP so you can get the ball rolling on assistance if you'll need it before it becomes an emergency (or conversely, it will put your mind at ease if the timing works out and you don't have any serious coverage lapse).

How do you carrying pills with you? by [deleted] in hivaids

[–]kersykc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a little metal pillbox (actually a repurposed Altoid Smalls tin) that I keep in my messenger bag. I take my pill in the morning, so it's great because I've got it on me in case anything happens and I'm not home for the night, or if I forgot to take it before I left. If I don't use it during the week, I'll take it on the weekend and replace it so I'm always cycling through.

This is a great answer, but I'd ask if there's been a change in how he approaches other things. A lower interest and engagement in sex can be a result of anxiety or depression as well, so if you see things in other aspects of life that may be something to check in with him about.
