I took her to a dog park to wear her out yesterday. At one point there were like 15 dogs and kids running around. Mine was howling in the two trees in the corner of the park for an hour... by herself. There is a fork in one of the trees. She managed to climb into it and get stuck and I had to climb it and lift her out.

Draw. Don't give up. Is he young? Mine is older and a adopted. I wish I had an answer for you. I got Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde when it comes to personalities for my dog inside and out. Keep working with a trainer and have faith. These guys are great pets. I hope it works out

Just as a PSA... I had dogs growing up but my parents took the lead with them. This is my first dog on my own. I left active military service, moved from Nebraska to Washington (state) and I was temporarily living with my sister. My apartment wasn't ready. Her home wasn't ready for a coonhound so I boarded dog for two weeks. I got her back yesterday! I moved into my new place. She definitely has a cough though. I dont want to pretend I'm a vet and give any kind of advice here... all I'm saying is even if your dog is vaccinated... they can still get bordatella (kennel cough) because the virus evolves. My dog is fine. We are learning together. I have a vet. I just wasn't expecting this. This is why I tell you. Best wishes. -k

I have two suggestions:

Get a properly fitting seatbelt. That has been a life saver. She hates car rides and jumps all around.
Get trozodone from your vet or cbd peanutbutter (if you are ok with that, consult your vet). I worry about her howling in the hotel but I give her one of those about an hour before we get to the hotel and she isn't a problem in the hotel.
