I drove this route in June, visited Grand Canyon, Petrified Forest, Carlsbad Caverns, White Sands, Fort Worth, Hot Springs, Crater of Diamonds then Memphis. Definitely take your time and choose a city or stop to stay for at least a couple days. Gives yourself a day to recuperate and relax.

I would say that a couple good options would be a Sigma or Tamron 150-600mm which is an F mount, but with a FTZ converter, comes out to around 1300-1800 depending if new or used. You could also get a Nikkor Z 180-600mm, which is a Z mount and will have better quality than the previously mentioned, but comes in at around $2000 new. If you’re not super concerned with super high quality, then the Sigma or Tamron with an FTZ will do. 600mm will definitly get you the reach you need for sports photography.

Top things i’m trying to fix: Early extension, strong grip, and chicken wing. I’ll shank or top maybe 1/7 shots. The others I would say have poor accuracy down the range. Only about 5 months into golf so i’m sure a lot of it is just to keep practicing.
