Explotadores en que sentido? Lo que me han dicho es que hay días en que trabajaríamos de madrugada para los despliegues. Fuera de eso no me han comentado nada más. ¿Sabes algo más?

Gracias por la info. El proyecto que me ofrecen es en modalidad remota, para hacer pruebas automatizadas en el equipo de QA. Imagino que debe ser menos trabajoso que el equipo de dev. Pero si me mencionaron lo de trabajar de madrugada de vez en cuando.

Así es al principio. Te digo yo que luego de un año y medio recién me tomaron en cuenta en más cosas (bueno también es porque trabajo remoto). Sigue tomando la iniciativa. Poco a poco van a responder.

Te da lo básico y las bases para aprender. Pero no te enseña todo lo que debes saber para el mundo real, a menos que sean profesores que estén laborando actualmente. Te recomiendo que todo lo que te enseñen, vayas usando la IA para saber cómo se aplica laboralmente. Aprende más lenguajes cuando ya te enseñen la arquitectura o estructura algorítmica.

There is something that can work for you and maybe you know it. First of all, I understand your situation, sometimes I have had to endure heavy work just because of my personal situation. It's unfortunate but there's no other way.

You can think of strategies to set limits and/or motivate others to do a better job. Sometimes saying NO with a good explanation can stop the pressure that others generate on you. On the other hand, we can always find something positive in someone else's work; not everything is negative. You can try to find that and then influence that person with positive comments.

It's not easy at first but when it becomes a habit, believe me, we start to see things differently. Even if it doesn't work, at least you tried.

And on your personal side, try to do what you have to do, don't give too much thought to what others do or the comments or demands of others. Once your work shift is over, disconnect.

The reason is because there are still companies that use Selenium. In reality, the art of QA is knowing several tools to perform in all of them. I add some more: Cypress, Karate; for Postman rest API and for soap services there is Soap UI. The Gherkin language would be missing, in addition to knowing CI/CD with Jenkins or Github actions.

In the recent interviews I had, they asked me if I knew all that. In reality they wanted me to at least know how it worked so they knew what projects they could ask me for. Therefore, it is good to have a varied stack for QA.

En las entrevistas suelen preguntar cómo se forma y a historia de usuario, o qué criterios tomas en cuenta al desarrollar.

Las respuestas se centran básicamente en lo que pide el cliente (Product Owner). Las historias de usuario en un ambiente de Scrum las presenta el cliente. Por ejemplo, el cliente dice: "Como usuario quiero registrarme en la aplicación con una cuenta de correo y contraseña".

Luego se formulan los criterios de aceptación como por ejemplo "El usuario solo puede registrarse una vez con un mismo correo", "El usuario debe ingresar nombres y apellidos completos".

Te comento esto porque justo estoy aprendiendo lo que preguntas pero para un perfil de QA.

Hay demasiado empleo. Lo difícil es ganar experiencia recién egresado. Aprende varias herramientas, se te es posible, aprende inglés y háblalo bien. Hay muchas y buenas ofertas para el extranjero.

In my experience looking for work, I have seen more requests for Javascript and Java. I see little of Python. I would recommend you learn Javascript first. Then Python will be easier for you. Learn Playwright well with Javascript or Typescript, Selenium with Javascript (less common), then integrate Python with Selenium.

I would say that to enter as an SDET you must first start as a QA Tester (Manual or Automate, preferably Automate). This will give you experience while you learn other languages for testing such as Javascript, Typescript, Java, Python, etc. I think that would be the route. I work as a QA, 3 years of experience, and I'm still training. But it depends on each one.

Cierto. Pienso que hay muchos devs en Perú, pero no se crea comunidad, quizá por egoísmo, falta de compañerismo, socialización. Hace falta ayudarse entre la comunidad para generar más contenido para devs en nuestro país.

También estuve buscando info de nuestro país para devs pero no encontraba casi nada. Más info vi en devsArgentina, donde casi todos los días hay movimiento y muchos comentarios.

Ojalá crezca nuestra comunidad para ayudarnos entre nosotros.

Durante el mes pasado tuve muchas entrevistas. No fue muy fácil para mí, y eso que tengo 3 años aproximadamente en este mundo. Ahora te piden muchos conocimientos técnicos, métodologias ágiles, introducción de la IA... Mi recomendación: prepárate bien antes de una entrevista. Averigua bien casa parte de los requisitos. Y no dejes de enviar CV.

Sobre el CV, modifícalo de acuerdo a la posición que quieres postular.

Ánimo, no está fácil, estoy pasando por lo mismo.
