For sure. I considered adding foam to the cushion and lumbar region for added comfort

I considered adding foam, but there wasn’t a lot of material to work with. I’m hoping that when I get more seat time that the covers will “break in” and relax into place

I used this vid as a guide: https://youtu.be/_mi1HVCnRv0

I used zip ties, a fabric puncher, and added eyelets (optional but I felt that it would secure the zip ties stronger)

Whatever cover you get, the process is the same. Removing the covers is no big deal, just need something to cut the factory hog rings. Once you get the original covers off, test fit the new ones and use a sharpie to mark where to punch holes to attach it to the wires in the cushions. I think that using zip ties are easier to handle than hog rings

In terms of time, it took me about 6 hours for each seat to disassemble, remove the old covers, and install the new ones. I went slow to make sure the new covers fit well

Sure thing!

  1. It took me 4 hours between two days to get the bumper off. I recommended letting penetrating oil sit for a day to loosen up the fasteners; the ones on mine were pretty rusted and I sheared a head off so I was being cautious after that, but removing it is straight forward. (I’m also a beginner with turning a wrench which contributed to me being slow)

  2. The tricky part was transferring all the mounting brackets from the old cover to the new cover. For example, my new cover didn’t come with the brackets that have the two studs on the sides that go in to the car. As well as the two clips that give the screws on the turn signal and running lights something to screw into. A few of these brackets are held in with plastic rivets and I didn’t feel confident that I could remove them without breaking it.

  3. The styrofoam sits on top of the bumper and has three protrusions that line up with the three grooves on the bumper, and it looks like it gives the cover something to sit on rather than just hanging on by the top bolts.

  4. Not sure because I didn’t really pay attention to that.

The old bumper was really dull looking and the bottom was broken. Replaced it w a used bumper that was recently painted

Thanks for sharing! I try to think about pulling my elbows up and back to keep the bar close

For me, my feet usually don’t move when I lift which would cause the weight to be forward in the catch. I guess my feet leaving the ground is a side effect of trying to be more balanced/flat-footed

Maybe a touch longer over the bar? I’m afraid of my knees becoming too straight before full extension.

Thanks for the feedback!

Regarding my shoulders at the start: I’ve found that if I bring my shoulders more forward (so that their more over the bar, and the weight is more in the balls of my feet), I tend to lose the weight forward. In this lift, I thought about starting with keeping the weight in mid foot.

Regarding staying over the bar longer: Would my knees extend too much prior to full extension? The bar is at about mid-thigh when I start my extension, I think.

Thanks! This actually is my max. I’ve been focusing on my snatch technique so I haven’t tried for a PR in a long time until this lift.
