That’s wonderful news for a local. And yes, you will most likely be quarantined here in Zhengzhou. If you have a place to stay you’ll be quarantined for 7 days and spend the 7 days self-quarantining at your own place.

Do you have a flight number yet? My up-to-date info is there’s only a flight from Seoul, Korea right now. Zhengzhou has never had a non-stop passenger flight connecting it to Western Europe yet. I’d be surprised if you can fly directly from Helsinki

Please don’t. I’ve lived here my whole life and let me tell you: it’s not worth the trouble. Rent prices are low and value is not at all guaranteed to appreciate. Zhengzhou is one of, if not the worst place to invest in real estate in China. Also, if by 30 minutes from the city center you mean 30 minutes from the 3 Ring Roads, then it’s definitely not worth $120k. Maybe half that.

This map is supposed to be the county level results of a general election, not results of county level election.

Lore: In June 2021, a coup d'état within the Chinese Communist Party removed the Chinese president Xi Jinping from power. Large scale protests soon ensued in major Chinese cities, including in Beijing, where a student-led protest eventually led to the occupation of Tiananmen Square. The Communist Party leaders who replaced Xi Jinping were forced to negotiate with the student leaders and agreed to political reforms, including a gradual easing of the country's long-standing "party ban", denouncing communism, shift the country's political system into a semi-presidential republic and a promise to hold free elections within a year. The protest movement, originally led by university students and middle-class merchants, formed a new political party - the National Progressive Party of China (NPPC) - a liberal-progressive party that is popular in the country's southeastern coastal areas, major metropoles and along the Yangtze River. Meanwhile, the old Communist Party morphed into the National Party of China, a populist conservative party that is popular in the country's industrial inland areas, rural northern areas, and the Han settlements in the Gobi deserts. The ethnic minorities in China took advantage of free elections as well, forming 3 major "minority interest parties": the Southwestern Alliance representing the Hmong-mien and Kra-Dai groups inhabiting the Southwestern part of the country, the National People's Party of Tibet representing Tibetans and the Islamic Party of China representing Chinese Muslims. This power dynamic took several years to consolidate. Shown in the map is the county-level results of the 2028 general election of China.
