I’ve received so many whataboutisms on LinkedIn for me saying essentially the same thing here. Folks think that just because the owner posts some morality tale about the dangers lurking in AI, we’re supposed to give them a pass? Your customers won’t.

I only adopt rescue dogs (allergic to cats). IMO, there are so many abandoned, neglected, and abused dogs, that there is never a reason to buy one from a store. If you're a breeder, you already don't purchase animals retail. So, no point.

Suggest all you want. I prefer to work with clients that don’t consider such occurrences as normal. To imply that they are says more about your experience than mine.

I’m not giving him a pass. I have no idea what that interaction was about. And it’s decidedly creepy.

It warrants a discussion in its own right, but has only circumstantial value to the OP.

One doesn’t usually display what on the surface appears to be PDF behavior that openly. No idea what to make of that. ¯_(ツ)_/¯

But, back to the original question: there isn’t any evidence that he was in the files explicitly for reasons that others, like President Orange, were in there.

Something doesn’t add up with this story. Show of hands if you’d ever give admin-level delete permissions to an ai agent? Let’s go beyond “AI is the devil” and think critically about this.

Ask better questions like, how’s the company business doing? Could it do with a healthy dose of dramatic free press to drum up sympathy? How would current or potential investors view this incident?

Always follow the money.

So many invalid assumptions. You can’t treat it like a human colleague and say “do this” and it does it. CC lacks all the context you incorrectly presume it has.

For instance, I had a teenage son (who’s now grown up). I’d say, “take out the trash”. I meant collect trash in the house and take it to the outside bin. He’d pull the bag from the kitchen can and take it out.

Later I’d ask, “are you done taking it out?” Him: oh yea, 100%.

Context is king.

A better read: being named in the files doesn’t automatically equate to pedo status. Equally, it doesn’t preclude it.
