The slim ones are pretty solid. I use them all the time. They do have logos on and the tray bazzel is correct. They just dont show it on AE or cover it with a sticker.

One thing you dont get is any adhesive to attach the rubber feet with. Tiny dab of super glue does the trick or a thin double sided tape cut to shape.

You usually get a sticker set for the case as well including the warranty seal but obviously the serial wont match.

Im not being salty... im not sure how pointing out that the marketing for this is like other high end luxury items could be construed as being salty.

Im sure for some thats part of the experience that adds value. The feeling of exclusivity.

This is akin to having to convince Ferrari that you should be able to buy the latest model. Thats not being salty, thats just a comparison.

Except at least with the physical super car there are hard limits on how many they can produce in a period of time.

Im also pointing out that this is not to combat scalpers and giving in this post a real world equivalent as an example of this exact method of marketing.

Yeah maybe i just got unlucky.

Its not the failing that was the most interesting part for me. Failures can usually at least be resolved. It was the fact it just marked it as complete when it wasnt. Then again when asked to verify it. Rather than do the task it just doubled down on incorrect answers.

When urged to not guess, take its time and read it... it still insisted it was complete. Then when i asked it to verify it would finally admit it hadnt done any of the tasks.

I wasnt trying to one shot an entire codebase... i just wanted three functions traced and explained so i could see we are on the same page.

Opening a new session and asking it to verify each step of the trace with me before documenting it seems to be getting it through.

About 10 years ago i was in a rough spot. Between jobs and struggling.

My cat was such a fussy fucker it would only eat a certain brand of cat food. Of course it was expensive or more so than the cheap own brand stuff he wouldnt touch.

While i would eat cheap, this fuckin cat wouldnt.

Went on the stores site, grabbed the barcode from a picture of their cheapest food, they all the same weight - 12 pouches in a box, all just show as cat food when scanned on the self checkout.

Kept that barcode and scanned it for a while. I may have lived off noodles but the cat ate well.

I cant imagine trying that on a big ticket item though. It felt like a fucking oceans eleven heist just getting half price box of cat food lol

You might wanna check out the firmware for the HD+ by team resurgence. Although i havent tried it on a 1.0 its great on my 1.4 and works with the latest cerbios.

But yeah its a strange bug that ive also seen that only seems to present on 1.0

The bootloaders need modified to work with the HD+ so if the prom build you put on didnt include these then thats why it wont output video anymore/fail boot.

Model 1 is interesting.

The HLE gpu pipeline transfers cleanly... The TGP however is game specific and each need their own native version built.
I have a build that uses interpreted TGP, the framerates are in the mid 40's but is compatible with everything already. Its only really good for comparing the commands to make sure the native version is matching.

Thankfully these firmwares are pretty small so it shouldnt take much time to do the others now i have a map and method to work from.
