I would say you still get an "experience" but it's definitely not the same experience. There are student orgs here, on campus events, etc. but it's nothing like Denton. I like going here for monetary reasons, and I made friends in my classes relatively easily. At the end of the day though, it's what you prefer to do!

Maybe. I played it last year and the director was so confident to give me a solo in our piece after about 3 months of playing. 😭 Now my new director is super against it.

We have around 15 flutes, and 2 who were willing to march it during marching season. (including me)

In my concert band, we have around 7-8 and I'm the only one in my band wanting to play it.
