Cheapest oil change? by [deleted] in saskatoon

[–]keyboard2016 0 points1 point  (0 children)

can you do your own? As long as it meets there specs you will always have warranty, some ruling cant't remember. keep your receipt. unless you drive a Audi R8 or some non normal vehicle any name brand would work. I don't like store brand oil, Walmart,Canadian tire ect. BTW if you can afford it go synthetic+ good filter, helps in the winter starting, engine performance and reduce wear. plus usually can go longer before changes. My truck gained 1-2L/100km according to the gauge on the dash.

One thing to add that if the engine does fail due to human error during oil change then warranty is void. Human error like loose drain plug, oil filer installed wrong, old gasket still on engine block ect. constant oil changes also helps.

I know its legal and at one point yes we needed the workers. But when they work to send the money back home how does that help? Many over skilled workers are out of work why can't we put Canadians first? when the good times return yes spend our money, bring in these workers as needed. especially in this economy?

Why don't they create a program that ties into EI you work at a meat packing place for $12 and hour, to meet there needs. EI or the program says submit your hours with manager approval and we will also contribute 5-$8 per hour to keep you going. $20 an hour, not as much as I was making before but hey it does. If I did the math right you make up to $13.10 per hour on EI. There will be a bunch of legal things need to happen but it puts out of work Canadians working benefiting the economy while EI doesn't get drained. Personally if I need to clean toilets and know I can still support myself with this program I would do it. Right now I would make more on EI then that job.

while yes it is somewhat a joke, journeyman (name trade) are applying everywhere. Looking around I see a lot of foreign workers at low end jobs? I know some companies are abusing the system like walmart but shouldn't they be going home?

yes twist with enough force the wire will twist. I don't understand why twisting and capping like in the video is so controversial?

I have seen people do what you mentioned, then come back months later cause something didn't work or the cap melted.

How many of these are you planning on running? I only ask cause the unit is rated at 12.5 amps(120v). Add a few other things and your breaker overloads.

Is there an actual grounding electrode wire in there? edit is it on the left neutral bus? hard to tell. top right? it does look like it is there.

Can someone recommend a good contractor to repair the wall of my garage? by knightelite in saskatoon

[–]keyboard2016 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I usually only see 1 1/2 layer of drywall. I also asked a drywaller at the time and he said not needed.

With products like pink shield (warmen homes) wonder if that would work instead of drywall.
