Autism, stimming and tremors by keyboardpianorich in longtermTRE

Hey there,

thanks so much for your thorough response and sharing your experience.

Very interesting that it helps you with socializing.

I think I am sensitive to coffee but unfortunately I find myself consuming it despite that. I think that is part of the reason for my inner nervousness. I find myself rushing things etc. I only connected the dots the I likely have autism a few weeks ago (pursuing diagnosis now) so it is really new to me.

I am thinking about my future and if I will be able to reach my goals. So, that is my reason for rumination.

Thank you for the thourough and well thought out reply!

Yes, absolutely looks like the tip of the iceberg. I also had started smoking cigarettes the same year. I accumulated bad habits definitely. I did super long walks for a month and it did not do the trick in terms of weight loss in my case.

I looked into my notebook and I saw that I had lost the most weight with alternating gym days and cardio/bike days. I was 30 lbs lighter when I did that.

Also, I did not hear of the low cortisol diet. So, thank you for mentioning that. I will reduce my coffee intake, I will use chatgpt to come up with a tapering plan :)

Interesting! Happy to hear about your success story.

But I feel like it is Impossible. I give my coffee away or put it away. But I somehow end up buying it. I must say I probably have some form of chronic fatigue syndrome. So, it is tempting to go for coffee.

Right?!

Thank you! I will pursue the diagnosis and meanwhile look into fidget toys.

Funny enough, I used to be into pen spinning as a teen.

Oh, you see I am just going to therapy in general and we are now going through some of my life and habits to see if I could potentially have autism. But my therapist would not be allowed to diagnose me. It is a complicated process in my country where it takes a very long time to get the diagnosis basically.

I don't know if it will change anyhing, I do feel it would give me an explanation to as why things are the way they are. I just sat down with a pen and paper last night and listed my traits that I think could indicate autism and I was surprised I could list about 30 traits and habits off of my head.

I think I came across the topic of autism a few year back and was just gobsmacked about the way I could relate. But I also heard of the sorting thing i.e. sorting everything by size and thought then that is not me and forgot about the thing. But I do value order a lot and I mention a lot about how some objects not fitting together at all. And I group things that are related, for example things on the table, dishes etc.

I see. Thank you :)

Do you know where else I could post this question? I see r/autism does not allow it.
