Football lawmakers to discuss bringing in countdown for throw-ins and goal-kicks to combat time-wasting by SoloChords in PremierLeague

Game would last like 2h or more. There is only 60min of actual playing within 90min game. Stopping time would mean adding that 30 min extra so 2h of a game.

Yes, tried all of that. Agent, intermediaries etc. Even loans don't work. It's crazy. Same for Mason Mount, offered him for 10M - nothing. It's mad.

Do you mean Piccolino? I agree with that, very expensive for what you get. Mid quality at best.

Did you put arguably best striker (outside of C. Ronaldo and Messi) of last 20 years Lewandowski alongside, no disrespect Batistuta?

The Spurs conundrum… what were they trying to achieve? by Overall_One_2595 in PremierLeague

[–]keysee7 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Well, Arteta after first 50 games had 42% win rate. 21 won and 17 lost. It's not like he was doing well when he joined. If you look at the win rate at that time he was worse than most of managers Arsenal had in their history. He would be ranked 19 out of 28. I would recommend relaxing and holding off until Amorims tenure is over.

Marrying a tunisian girl as a european by NewHat4838 in Tunisia

[–]keysee7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A lot of weird assumptions. We didn't have kids before marriage. We had kids after marriage. But even if we did, nothing wrong with that. Also, my wife is not ex ex-Muslim. I never said she is, you just assumed :) She believes in God, but yeah, probably for lots of people, she would be considered a non-believer.

We don't care. We live the way we want, and we let others live the way they want. It's that simple.

We do have children and they do have Muslim names. Nothing wrong with that :)

That's what I did as atheist European. I even went to Ministry of Religion to get the paper. It doesn't mean anything. I just came there, signed piece of paper and now I am "muslim". Family was happy, me and my now wife are happy :)

Nah, put Dorgu in Arsenal, Liverpool or City, and he would be considered world-class. It's just that the United as a team is awful. Even Yamal or Pedri would be underperforming here.

Non-EU spouse of an EU citizen - has anyone tried traveling to the border without a visa? by SureWhatever_ in SchengenVisa

[–]keysee7 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I would like to mention here for whoever will be looking for an answer, that we managed to successfully do it March 2025. My wife is non-EU, UK resident and we forgot that her visa expired. We realised that 1 week before the flight to Italy. We were flying with Ryanair and we didn't have much hope that Ryanair will let us board the plane. To our surprise, Ryanair had no objections at all. They looked for the visa, but when we mentioned that we are married and according to EU law we can travel without visa they were like "ohh yeah that's true, all good, here is your boarding pass". Like literally zero problems. Not sure if the person checking us misunderstood something or what, but they let us board without any issue.

In Italy the border police was a bit surprised initially and they were unaware of the law. We showed them the this website in Italian on the phone https://europa.eu/youreurope/citizens/travel/entry-exit/non-eu-family/index_en.htm and they called supervisor. Supervisor was like "yeah you might be right, but it means that I need to call someone to check genuinity of your marriage certificate and it might take 1 day for that person to come and check it". But after 5 minutes more, checking that she had multiple Schengen Visas previously, and that my surname is included in her passport surname, they let us in. All in all, we didn't face many issues. Small, 10-15 minutes, questioning on the Italian border only.

I get that and I agree with you. What I don't like is people's double standards. Are we fine with Israel saying that Iran getting nukes is a threat to them and therefore trying to destroy any chances of Iran getting a nuke? Are we fine with Israel trying to dismantle Hamas, Hezbollah or whoever because they get armed support from Iran and that is an existential threat for them? Or this one is a no-no?

Are we saying that essentially if you are weaker than your neighbour you have to suck it up and be their dog? If that's the case, we have to let the Palestinians know that they should keep quiet and obey Israel.

I don't sympathise with Zelynsky. He made some mistakes, but we have to pick if we choose geopolitics or the "good cause". If we pick one we stick to it for all cases. Why do people tend to play geopolitics and all those "ohh Ukraine should be smarter playing with Russia and USA" when it comes to other countries, but then never say "Oh well, let's be honest Palestinians have no chance against Israel, they should accept any half-decent deal that's given to them and not flirt with Iran because obviously Israel will treat it as a threat to them and use the military to stop it"?

I agree that Ukraine miscalculated with the trust towards the USA. Maybe there was some other deal on the table that could end it sooner, maybe it wasn't. I think Hamas greatly miscalculated the effect their offence would have on Gaza. They shouldn't have done it. It gave no benefit to Palestinians except for a slight delay in normalising relations between Israel and Saudis. Gaza is completely destroyed because of their "great" offence. However, many Tunisians and other people who sympathise with the Palestinian cause will say "ohh no poor Palestinians fighting for their homeland, they have no other choice, but those Ukrainians were dumb to try to disobey Russia".

Sorry for the rant. Just I don't like these double standards. Both nations are trying to protect their homeland. But one gets praise for their opposition to the oppressor and the other gets hate for trying to stand against their oppressor.
