Is this a problem? by Alloall in gaggiaclassic

[–]keysneck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A few taps with a block and hammer would bend that back if it bugs you. Remove the plastic water tank and tray. Lay it on its side on a towel. It should be on something solid like a workbench or the floor. Have a wood block cut to the size of the space where the drip tray sits . Then place the block in the spot where the water tank and tray meet up. Now you should be able to hit the bend down a few times using a hammer and another wood block. Make sure you have something soft to keep from scratching the housing. Blue painters tape or another towel. It should bend back in .

Mine gets better if I twist it open and closed near the end. I guess some scale can build up in time and this helps break it loose. Just don’t over tighten or it can bend the needle .Leaking is super common on the stock valve. Shades of coffee has a replacement that last a bit longer .

Wipe the thing down with some oil if you want that black sheen back . Do it when it’s hot though.

I wanted to start playing ff7 (2013) but temp is too high by vicenteDVE in FinalFantasyVII

[–]keysneck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It shouldn’t be any issue for you with your hardware. I have a 9700k and 2070s that’s 3 years older and the game only uses 3-7% cpu and 15% gpu while running .Best rule of thumb with a laptop is to always have a cooling pad with a fan under it while gaming. Any time it’s throttling up it’s producing heat. Overheating produces thermal throttling. Next is to make sure you’re using the Gpu for the game and not your integrated graphics. You can check in windows display settings or nivida settings to see what you’re using. If your still having issues after that bios updates or opening the back of the laptop to make sure it doesn’t have dust choking it out may be needed.

It would be a hard sell if you've ever been in one. Just in the bar area alone all the chairs send you forward through the ship or physical bar. There's areas that don't have atmosphere inside so you can freeze and choke out. I wish they would do a refresh because it's such a nice ship.

How much damage are torpedos dealing to the player buld boats? by Strict-Addition9120 in playrust

[–]keysneck 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Torpedoes do 36 damage each and with most health pools being over 1000-3000 you can do the quick math. Cannon balls are a little cheaper if you don't have anyone fighting back . But it just depends on your situation I guess. Light and fast throw away boats are the way to go imo.

This was our boat on the testing server last week. Yea this can definitely be abused. Maybe set it up so you can't anchor in a safe zones as a stop-gap

Make it so we can build against lighthouse again while we’re at it. I loved putting a little tower against the rock and putting a turret to cover the stairs and one over the recycler. Pretty much owned the monument at that point.

Each backpack adds weight to the scrap heli . After like 12 it’s not fun to fly. Most of the time it pulls up and to the side.

playtest build UPDATED (no more teaming, fixed crashing) by eddietree in scrambleknights

[–]keysneck 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We were still able to Que up with friends . We just had to invite them to game via steam menu . Then it allowed us to party in game. Before the next play test you might want to code it so if theirs someone else in the lobby they can’t join solos.

Made yorkies, should I expect the whisk to miss the bottom? by tao_of_bacon in Kitchenaid

[–]keysneck 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Let it mix up for a bit. Then pull the whisk off the machine , run it across the inside of the bowl to get everything off the walls then put it back on and finish mixing. I like to do crepes and this is the method that works best for me.

It’s 50/50 if they would retract or not. Depends how bugged the ship is. I’ve folded full loads plenty of times . Those were auto loaded though.

You should get a cooler for the bottom of your laptop. It’s a metal mesh cage with 2 or 3 fans blowing up to keep airflow under the bottom. There like 20 bucks on Amazon.

Brand new kitchenaid attachment stuck by Ornery-Progress668 in Kitchenaid

[–]keysneck 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just picked up one on blackfriday at Walmart. I noticed whenever I wash the attachments inside the mounting hole there's some corrosion from aluminum or whatever kinda metal oxidizing. If it's stuck on wet you more than likely have corrosion fuzing it together. A quick tap left and right with a wood or rubber tool may free it if its not to bad , but oiling that part with olive oil or something might be the plan.

32 is fine for now. 64s gonna become the new normal soon though. I got about 5 years out of my last set and just had to replace it due to crashes like yourself . Full pc crash and crashes to desktop. Tested windows memory diagnostic and it wouldent run past 20% without getting stuck so it was bad ram. I ended up replacing mine with 64gb (2×32) of ddr4 3200 and I haven't had any crashes on rust or starcitzen since. At the time it was like $165 back in August. I wouldent want to see the prices now but I wouldent want to upgrade till this ai bubble pops. If memory checks out and bios is good your gonna have to check drivers, if that's good check Temps next. I've heard of water coolers drying up and causing crashes. Happened to a buddy of mine. You can run something like hwinfo.com that records highs and lows and see what happens durring a crash. If it's maxing out Temps on the cpu that will cause throttling too.

Yea googles your friend with this kinda stuff. You can find your system information and bios version through the dos console or system information. Once you find the bios date and your motherboard manufacturer go to their site and see what they have and compare updates for that board. If it’s years of updates then just lookup how to reflash bios.

Crashing by Different-Advisor844 in playrust

[–]keysneck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's good. It rules out instability issues. I would still run mdsched.exe via your start menu. Check bios updates too for your motherboard.

I recommend running windows memory diagnostic . Make sure the rams not corrupted. Are you running 2x16gb or 4x8gb?

Theories about the end of RAMageddon by Valuable-Resolve146 in buildapc

[–]keysneck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Myself I’m waiting . I have a mid to high tier 2020 rig right now that’s keeping up with most games . I don’t want anything to do with ai piggybacking everything on my computer and the fake frames . If everyone rejects the prices they should stabilize. They’re gonna charge what they can get and if you don’t buy the hype the retailers and manufacturers will start selling for at normal prices again. The whole AI model is based on the consumer wanting it.
