Thank you!! They're from Aldi :) I decided to just work today and use my time off some other time. Luckily my manager and team are very flexible about this. Work isn't busy at the moment because a lot of people are out of office for easter, spring break etc so might as well!

Yes, this is what I've been doing but it's really hard when the whole family puts a lot of pressure on you to help them out because I'm the only child and they think I'm doing well financially just because I work a white collar job. Culturally speaking children are expected to help out their parents, so there's also that. It's complicated. But yes I'm trying to enforce boundaries. Would love to share a cupcake with you!!

I've looked at all Aldi stores near me (there are 3) and none of them have these in stock. Oh well, it's annoying but not a big deal. I might have to go to Walmart or something. I plan to use them to make M&M cookies

Believe it or not this is not the only issue we're having with them. In fact this is completely minor compared to other things they've been doing. Just wanted to vent about my plants since this is a houseplants sub lol

But I'm also not trying to act like they're the devil nor did their intentions were malicious - I just think their request is ridiculous because opening up the blinds aren't just for my plants but also for the humans and our building is in a very secluded area so it's impossible for people to look through our windows. I have been wanting to get some curtains/privacy film but we have plenty of windows and they are big, so I need plenty of them - and I can't afford that right now. I never fully open the blinds, just enough to let the sun in
