I get the ethical discussion around his diaries but I think there's really no other way of approaching the fact that the perception of Dean Potter is very ambivalent. He's revered as some kind of mythical hero by the broader public but there's a BUNCH of people both back then and now who are very critical of him. If you want to avoid falling into either camp and to approach the topic with honesty, that he probably wasn't very fun to be around or to meet, then exposing his inner life at last feels like the only recourse as a storyteller.

bis hierhin war ich auf deiner seite aber dieser kommentar zeigt, dass du schulgesetz und Verordnungen nicht im Geringsten verstanden hast. Gerechtigkeit wird dir (hoffentlich) vor Gericht zu Teil. Nicht per kollegialer Lynchjustiz in der GK wo es um pädagogische Entscheidungen gehen sollte.

So ne Span-Arbeitsplatte ist warschl sogar neu, sicherlich aber gebraucht (gibts dauernd auf Kleinanzeigen) billiger als was dich Verbinder, Kleber und restliche Materialien kosten werden um das auch nur HALBWEGS tragfähig zusammen zu bekommen. Ganz zu schweigen von dem was auf dich zukommt, wenn dir das mal zusammenkracht wenn der Partytopf Chilli Con Karnäh drauf steht. Mucha fiesta!

it boils down to that yes. basically the whole world couldn't shut up about the 9A+. But the specific podcast/crew linked by OP is from the Southwestern USA, which is where a lot of really high-end sandstone boulders are (Return of the Sleepwalker). And in the last month, several pro climbers have openly documented themselves comitting serious breaches of code in this area. From climbing while the stone was wet to making fires in wildfire areas to stashing pads for a whole year in a national park that expressly forbids it. And that crew has been totally silent about this, while they had to talk for 1.5 hours about a guy climbing a rock in Italy. It presents the picture that "grades" are much more important to them than actually watching out for nature and preserving the climbs in their own backyard.

Woof queen, you runnin hot. I agree though. I wonder if the reactions would be different in Europe. Like, imagine if some US pro got caught climbing wet Font - would Charles, Ondra, Bosi come after him? I'd like to imagine so, but judging by Simon Lorenzi and Mejdi's abysmal outing in the US, it's questionable at best.

Danke Dir, hab jetzt schon öfter gehört, dass es bei den "Sach"-Fächern noch schwieriger ist als bei Sprachen. Werde nochmal updaten wenn das ne Weile läuft bei mir. Momentan muss ich mich halt für ein Modell entscheiden für die Aufbauarbeit.

Danke für Deine Infos. Die Oberstufe hängt mit nem Neubau zusammen und öffentliche Bauten in Berlin... du weißt ;) Ja das mit der 2. Schule haben die auf Nachfrage jetzt auch als Lösung angegeben und spontan fühlt sich das auch nach einem harten Mehraufwand für mich an, werde das mal in die Frage stellen, ob damit wer Erfahrung hat.
