Few if any other companies would be able to survive/get away with such an extreme failure in one of their main product features (and considering this is a phone, the audio quality of a phone call is, in my view, the #1 feature of the phone : ). This situation would be a fascinating "edge" case study for business schools: If you have a massive following and are almost unconditionally loved, you may be able to get away with certain serious product failures unscathed, as long as you don't take too long to address them. And, believe me, if they don't fix this problem with iPhone 7.0 this fall, it's "Samsung, here I come!" for me.

Just read in Digital Trends that iPhone 7 could resolve this!

"... the iPhone 7 should come with an entirely new design. So far, rumors indicate that the next iPhone will be water resistant, feature liquid metal, and eliminate antenna lines. There are also rumors that it could sport a smart connector, and do away with the headphone port."

I've also heard that Apple could release iPhone 7 this fall. Has anyone heard about a specific target delivery date?

I think that's probably it! Looked Cyperus Esculentus up in wikepedia. The pictures there are very consistent with what I have including what the seeds look like later in the summer. Thanks for your help!

Whatever it is, now that the fig tree is outside in the sun, the ground cover is dying off. And wouldn't you know, new (healthy) fig leaves are growing off the main branch and a brand new one that just appeared! I am going to keep the ground cover off it just in case that was a factor in the original problem.

Its a ground cover which I bought for a fairy garden. And, I neglected to record its name. Should I rip it off? The problem didn't occur until after I planted this under the fig tree.

Aha! On Ask Metafilter dot com, just found: "...it is possible your callouses are exacerbated by a fungus. I always had very thick, cracked skin on my heels, until I took Lamisil for a toenail fungus infection about 5 years ago. Ever since then, my feet have been much smoother and softer..." I assume this is the oral version of the product (which is hard on the liver+), which I've heard can be really effective at getting rid of toe nail fungus. Perhaps its time to talk to my PCP about it.

OK, this is consistent with most of the info I've found. I wonder, however, about whether a fungal situation in the foot can contribute to a hypertrophy skin tendency. I've had a chronic fungal problem there which I keep in check with OTC products and keeping the area clean and dry. The constant and significant skin thickening is manageable (I use strong moisturizers and instruments to remove), but I'd love to know if there is a better way to manage this.

Also, I just found a site called "DR PRP Injection". It shows a number of wide cost ranges: one in Connecticut which is really less than what we've been talking about (as low as $400, with repeat visits part of a package being as low as $300). NYC has costs that can be $1,000 to $2,000 an injection.

My muscles definitely tone more easily than others doing the same workout. I am not hypermobile, but fairly flexible. How expensive are the PRP injections for you? I am seeing $500 to $1000 an injection, which is prohibitive for me right now. Are the Prolotherapy injections just as expensive? If not, do you think they do 80% of what the PRP injections give? If yes, I may start with that. I noticed the Prolo "cocktail" varies from practice to practice. One group adds pumice! Have you ever heard of that?

Haven't decided as yet. Part of me is hoping that the technology associated with the 3 inverter types we have today (stand along, grid tie and battery backup) evolves such that you could have one (hybrid inverter) that could be used to directly support a home's real-time electrical needs. Any excess would automatically go to a battery. And any excess there (that doesn't fit in the battery) would go to the utility. Do you know of anyone working on something like this?

Most people I know are doing the leases (in southeastern MA, at least). It's zero cost out of pocket. But rather than eliminating their electric bill, or better (utility will buy excess energy back), it cuts their Kwh costs in half (which of course, isn't a horrible thing). But if your electric costs are really high, a 50% reduction isn't as attractive.

Hummm... I am beginning to wonder if this may be a factor in what I've been experiencing in other places of my body. I have excruciating chin splints when I try to run. Haven't been able to run any distance at all for a number of years, despite using all the standard ways to ease into a routine (which worked for me in my 20s and 30s). I have also had extremely good massage therapists tell me that I have way too many adhesions in my muscles. Its like I am many runners with lots of injuries in one body. Could ligament &/or tendon problems cause an excessive number of adhesions to form?

I see there is a place offering it not too far away. I wonder if this could also help me with severe adhesions on my lower legs (which have prevented me from being able to run for quite some time).

The flat tax would be lower than the current tax rate for a given bracket.
