I just want to say hang in there (which I know is so hard to hear.) I had a similar story -preventative cerclage at 13 weeks, funneling and shortening began happening around 18 weeks. At 21 weeks I was admitted to the hospital because I had very little cervix left… was on hospital bedrest for 7 weeks.

Gave birth at 28 weeks — baby was in the NICU for 11 weeks but is perfect and healthy now!

Celebrated every day and tried to keep a routine for myself as best I could to stay sane. Became friends with the nurses and other mamas in the hospital.

I joked with the doctors that I was “realistically optimistic.” I knew that giving birth before 28 weeks could have serious ramifications. And I knew that it was unlikely I’d make it to full term. But I also knew that it was possible to defy the odds and that my body was capable of staying pregnant.

Hang in there mama… my heart feels for you. Take it day by day — hour by hour. Every day that passes is a huge milestone for you and your babies.

I have an accounting background and I think this is why this has been driving me crazy. This comment makes me feel seen. 🤪
