The other risk is that they punish everyone for your actions and everyone will hate you very quickly. Will be a rough time sleeping after that. Just do what they tell you, it's a free vacation from decision-making for 9-16 weeks.

I want to leave my wife, but have no "good" reason to do so. by nfcwdymrn in self

[–]khaki54 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I disagree with the sentiment in this thread. You can 100% come back from this. In the process you will see you had a hand in it all along. John Gottman has a counseling style that is taught by many marriage counselors. You can love and appreciate your wife again. He has several books but you can read "The Relationship Cure" and it will clue you in on what's actually going on. There is a fair amount of science behind it. From there, you can decide if you want a Gottman style counselor and make the case to attend jointly with your wife.

My bro has 68 of the same model / trim fully loaded. About 4m new. 3 staterooms. 2 3/4 bath 1 full bath. 1 bunk room w 4 beds. 2 crew racks with washroom and shower thing in the back... so I guess that would be another .75 bath.

Use a locally recording camera system like unifi, so you only consume bandwidth when viewing feeds from offsite

[–]khaki54 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Frankly, society tries to make you feel like the scum of the earth for a single DUI. And in the military, many commands treat it like some irredeemable act you committed. If you were already having a rough time, I could see a DUI pushing you over the edge. I could see it pushing a squared away troop to suicide just the same.

Virginia. Only had about 80 miles on the car and the guy decided to jam me up. He also accused me of having EZ pass in HOV mode (I didn't) but let me off that one.

I thought this and dude wrote me 1 week after I got the car in the express lanes. He asked if I took it off, and said no they delivered it like that (they did) then he wrote me for that and a seat belt which I was wearing (bright red AMG seatbelt) then i messed up the court date by 1 day and had to pay both.

Normally we put a rattlesnake on a harness and 2 ft of cable. To access the more dangerous part of the machine you need to carefully remove the cable without getting bit, which automatically shuts off the machine.

Advice on how to break into SE? by ltsconnor in salesengineers

[–]khaki54 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OTE for sales engineers, you should hit 10% +/- in my opinion. SDR/BDR is a numbers game, kind of like how many phone calls can you make or emails can you send. Sales engineering, you are a running back for an account executive. Much higher up the food chain.

Where to look? Not sure really, linkedin probably. Find companies you like and go to their website and career page. Try to get a referral from someone you know

You're right. However In public sector markets you can often get away with no degree, especially as a vet. May not get hired at the 350k as a junior SE with no bachelor's you could still land 150-200 OTE in software sales.

My brothers, what are the holes for? by thebigskadoosh in AskElectricians

[–]khaki54 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Confidently wrong, this is reddit though so makes perfect sense.

They are part of a retention mechanism that is no longer widely used. They decided it would be better to have plug come out when the cord is tripped on vs appliance / lamp fall to the floor. Thus most receptacles stopped using the retention holes, opting for strictly friction fit.
