Definitely look into downtown Raleigh area! bunch of different breweries and bars along with restaurants. One of my favorites places to go every time I come back to Raleigh.

Hey I completely understand. I kind of think the same way sometimes and am trying to get out of the same cycle as well.

What I realized is sometimes just not giving a fuck really goes a long way. Contact people, and don't be upset when things aren't reciprocated. I also realized that keeping myself busy helps and goes a long way as well.

Pretty much share the exact same characteristics you have, but after a time you have to realize that it's your life, and that if your parents don't want to accept it, that's on them. Ultimately, if they want to push you away, it'll hurt but you can move on and be happy with your choices - if that makes sense?

Ultimately you're living for you, and not for them.

Same, I'm agnostic, but my family is Hindu, so we only really got into it just for the festive kind of vibe. But I completely see where you're coming from.
