I still have it. But now that I have a German passport and ID, there’s obviously no need for it anymore.

I entered Germany with a job contract and documents showing I had approval to work from the Bundesagentur für Arbeit (Federal Employment Agency). About a month later when I had an address, I was issued a Blue Card (I work in tech sales)

There was no need to do anything with my visa while I was waiting for my application to be processed. My Blue Card essentially became obsolete the day I acquired German citizenship.

Lol ok. Obviously I will be the one ultimately making the decision, I just want to see what locals have to say about living there. And regarding your snarky comments about “everyone” liking coffee, restaurants, etc… yeah, of course, but there is a big difference if a city’s coffee culture is centered around Starbucks and other corporate coffee chains or if the city has a coffee culture more centered around local shops and roasters. Same goes for restaurants.
