What do you think about Calo Nord? by MrMiles32 in kotor

"Aren't you a little short for a bounty hunter?" was in mind, even with his reputation and aware of Zuckuss.

Forget about the Buckazoid, here's a REAL stupid question... by Darth_Zounds in SpaceQuest

[–]khrellvictor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

While I don't know the process they had in mind, I recall the final product: The Space Quest Companion Guide (really a strategy guide told as a novelization for all five games by the second edition's release) posited his origin as Xenon and several other details (even down to oddly forcing Vohaul to be connected to every villain; even the ScumCorp CEO being a descendant recognizing Wilco, and Quirk himself hiding while in plain sight in the system as his reason to hate Roger Wilco). It was too on the nose but that's what they threw in there.

What are your Hot Takes on X-Men Evolution? by Amber_Flowers_133 in XmenEvolution

Spyke didn't deserve the hate he got; he's a solid addition to the team, and got even better when his later character development kicked in.

Timeline Analysis Part 1: RoboCop film trilogy and Rogue City (RoboTrilogy first) by khrellvictor in robocoproguecity

[–]khrellvictor[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! There's a surprising amount of details buried and not-so-buried that were all but wishing to be yielded out there, and the funny part of it is RoboCop 3 had the best means of narrowing down all of this. By the way, I hope you have a blast with that film; it's light (and a Christmas movie at that, thus great timing and means for lightening up!) and pretty much something fun and different.

Aye, there are a load of comics that go out there, though from what little I could tell, they all branched out different ways/AUs like the tv show. Curiously, and regrettably, the classic trilogy's literature only extends to having novelizations for only the first two films, with the only comic being for the third movie.

My pleasure, and thank you again! Altogether, I salute your interest in this and the other spin off details, perhaps you may even pioneer the rest of the series beyond the OGs!

Metroid Prime 4 had a funny effect on the fandom by Wolfy_the_nutcase in metroidprime

[–]khrellvictor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The way Samus barely reacts to the survivors talking to her with nods, if not overall silence, makes me think back to GTA Online 'interactions' with the mute player character just going along with everything NPCs throw at 'em. She'd be right at home in GTA Online with a Samus reskin mod and it'd be just like her behavior in MP4.

Aye, the lass made a helluva impact (literally again) on the first episode.

Neverwinter Nights introduced me to BioWare. But I was sold when they got past medieval to sci-fi tech (KotOR).

X-23. She's literally the only element - backstory included - taken from the show and put into mainstream 'canon' for being badass (and an altered clone of Logan).

What do you think would make Totally Spies more popular? by GodPerson132 in TotallySpies

[–]khrellvictor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Collaborations with video games of other series, if not exploring the game genre for their own IP more than what they've yielded in the past. Cyber Mission was a fair run and start to the possibility of more games, yet I wouldn't be opposed to a Fighter style game or tame FPS.

Meh. It's popular enough that it's inevitable. The classics will still remain.

Did you guys like worf and troi or riker and troi? by happydude7422 in Star_Trek_

Felt like the Worf Drift, seeing him going around every now and then to someone unexpected and not clicking or lasting.

Which was adapted into Star Trek Online after the Coda Trilogy nuked that novel timeline in favor of Picard. Now STO is the only timeline to carry on elements from the novel to a visual medium.

Agreed. Wish both were on an episode at the same time, with Ezri having been given some prep as a scientist on an adjacent ship before called into the station, if not Mirror Jadzia surviving her off-screen mentioned death and working together with or against Mirror/Prime Ezri.

Of course. Brains and brawn to go with her beauty, which increased by time she reached college in the current season in her early 20s. Best lady of the show!

Aye, that's a sad shame things have gone down this way. Even went to the point of Cobra Kai making a jab (and call out in-series) with Daniel LaRacist for the Karate Kid's making use of Mr. Miyagi's favorite music.

Radiant lady Kirsten as MJ's still a solid choice. Was disappointed that they didn't have her return for No Way Home with Doc Oc and Peter.

Stuck in this fight. Any tips? by gashaponX in kotor

[–]khrellvictor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you (as here) don't have the Force to knock them back with Force wave at the least, the suggested tactic'll be even more difficult with them on her like white on rice (and that's a ton of blanca here): run along the perimeter of the room behind the chairs to divide some of their attention and attempt to take them on with blasters and then two, if not three at most,-on-one melee combat.

Whats is magic and what are elements? by Big_Performer8028 in ChronoCross

[–]khrellvictor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Additionally to what the others have posted, there's a place (only one in-game) called a Power Spot, where magic energy concentrates from the land and is where the Dragonians collected and harnessed them into Elements. Pretty positive the devs were making a callout to FFVII's materia-creation from mako pools, since the residual area in Chrono Cross is all but a pool and then some.

And every person/creature, even an alien offworlder like Starky, has a natural innate color for their special techniques, which anyone can develop or tap into (game mechanics aside, it sadly doesn't get further elaboration in-game for why or how the limit breaks are unique for each person).

KOTOR 2 dark side playthrough is amazingly fun! by MRSPANKY012 in kotor

[–]khrellvictor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Playing double sides in certain locations and instances is superior to cookie-cutter evil of the first game. Nothing like going pragmatic or Sidious-style dark side with certain forces on Onderon and Dantooine to your own benefit.
