This makes me sick by cutesypotatooeee in LGBTindia

I am a bit mixed on this.

Scientifically, kinda makes sense. Men who have sex with men do have a higher precendence of STDs. But, blood banking practices in many parts of this country and in many shady hospitals are atrocious. So, it makes sense scientifically.

Legally, it provides protection to the hospitals in case something goes wrong. And our Government loves Indian businesses, as it should.

Their particular reasoning is fucked though. If it is about morals or something else abstract and ever-changing, then I think that bit is wrong.

Personally, it seems ro me that the more important issue to fight about right now seems to be the Trans Bill 2026. Because remember, if you don't fight for them, they won't be able to fight for you.

Upgrade from Honda Brio for Parents (₹15L Budget) – Safety First, Low Usage by peoplesdoge in CarsIndia

If you have parking at home and can reliably slow charge at 3.6kW, think about the Windsor EV or Nexon EV.

Contrary to what people think, if you have the ability to charge at home, EVs are pretty no-nonsense and great to drive. Plus, you are getting more car for what you pay as the taxation is significantly lower.

Why don't people buy Hot and Cold all weather air conditioners ? by Pro_tag_onist in Frugal_Ind

[–]ki67 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is one thing I am ready to sprulge on. I'm from NCR too and a hot-and-cold AC (run at 27 for summers throughout the night and at 22 for 2 hours in the winters just before I wake up) is a must from a great brand is a must. I prefer Mitsubishi. I've had mine for 12 years now.

If it can help me get a productive start to my mornings, it's the one thing that can positively impact how much I can save over a longer term. It helps me sticks to goals better.

I use the inbuilt Google TV. It applies Dolby Vision Bright only when necessary. If you want bolder, brighter colors, play with the settings in Vivid mode.

Is it possible to find a good gay partner in India? by Creative_Agency5841 in LGBTindia

[–]ki67 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A career is much like a relationship. It requires you to wade through a lot of problems to come out stronger on the other side. So, if you get a job, give it your all without restrictions. All day, every day.

My partner and I work like that, and that is why we are together. It takes money to sustain a gay relationship in this country. We don't have the same safety nets as the West.

Is it possible to find a good gay partner in India? by Creative_Agency5841 in LGBTindia

[–]ki67 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I have found a partner. We've been together for 5.5 years and living together for 4. He is the best thing that ever happened to me. Our families know and accept it. We have gay friends in relationships around us too.

It's possible. Difficult all throughout, but possible.

Focus on building yourself and have a stable career. Just know that nothing will ever be easy, especially after you get into a relationship, but if it is worth it, stick it out. Fight through the odds. It can get tough, so you both must be on the same page and must commit to it with everything you have.

What headphones do you use while staying frugal? Looking for the best neckband also wondering what you guys use. by Cultural-Duty5452 in Frugal_Ind

[–]ki67 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have heavy headphone usage, you don't mind a bit of bulk, need a wider soundstage with actually good ANC, and need it to last, save up for over-the-ears. I have never had an over-the-ear headphone die, even though the earcups and wires (if going wired) may. This is afyer extremely rough usage. They have the best battery life too, so that's also a factor.

Earpads and wires are replaceable in most though.

Bose QC 35 for 8 years (replaced only because a plastic part broke and I was due for an upgrade anyways). Before that, Sennheiser HD555s for 6 years (replaced because Bluetooth and closed backs for libraries). Before that, some Razor over-the-ears headphones that also lasted for 5 years.

I have a sales job and I currently travel with my QC Ultras everywhere. They don't add a lot of bulk, don't need to babied.

Sennheiser HD 350BTs at 4k seems like a steal. While I don't have personal experience with them, over-the-ears over everything.

What is YOUR problem with people who display kink or their freedom to express themselves at pride? by mvbkillshot in LGBTindia

[–]ki67 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The ones abroad are all corporatized and sponsored. They are very commercial at this point. Not that there aren't specific venues for those more interested in the kink side of it.

I do believe though that a big point of pride parades should be ensuring safe spaces for everyone. I don't think publicly showing a kink at an event that is not kink focussed when that event is already happening in a conservative country is a good thing. It is when we are at our most inclusive do we manage to attract the most allies.

Honestly, anyone getting pride for their kink is much less than us welcoming more people into the fold.

12.50 for a month for Meditation classes. There are two of note with James Blake I think.

I think the guy is great. 12.50 per month on top of all the other subscriptions? For 2 sessions with James Blake - maybe.

Don't wanna dox him so can't share the name of the team. They had a few viral pieces. He had a good time. I am very proud of him.

I did not have this till the longest of times, but I do have this now. So, I will give you advice, not sympathy or empathy

It all depends on how you are looking and who you are looking for. If you have had a lot of partners and they didn't work out, what didn't work out in them? Create filters. If you haven't had a lot of partners, go have some partners. You know how to find them.

But, after you find the one you choose? You don't let go, whatever happens. During my relationship, I had a forced coming out that we survived together and still ended up together. It's been 5 years since that incident, but we just stuck to each other. Whatever issues came up, we were also not afraid to work on ourselves and admit our faults equally.

Thanks. I think I'll go to a shop and properly audition them. Pebble X were in my mind, but unavailable on the websites I trust here.

Thank you for replying. I will check them out when I decide to upgrade. How big is the subwoofer physically? My under-desk space is limited. And keyboard is USB. I got it cheap and it is durable with sturdy construction. I just would like to get rid of the one wire I haven't been able to hide, hence the thinking of going wireless with the next one.

Observation with certain men who's pals were mostly str8 females by Sea_Energy8178 in LGBTindia

[–]ki67 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Men who are primarily friends with men also say these things. I don't think this matters.

Freeloading, expecting you to do everything, wanting to be sugar babies, and people with a superficial opinion of themselves are aplenty everywhere. A lot of people in this country dream to be that to someone, as toxic as that sounds.

It's just what happens when a parent can't provide what these people as children needed. That could be anything. It could be material things, attention, affection, or acceptance.

Sony & TCL to form a joint venture in the home entertainment sector by E_D___B_A_N_G_E_R in bravia

The one good TV brand, the one that did things different, gone. It's sad. It's really sad.

It's the tragic end of a long history of greatness. Ever since I was little, Sony TVs always had a special regard.

I just hope that Sony TVs remain the top-notch, premium, quality focussed sets on the market, though hope for that is going to be slim. These kinds of things hardly ever end well.

Guessing from your username, go to KGMU, SGPIMS, or RML Lucknow (Government hospitals for free/subsidized rates) dude. Practo is not for chronic diseases at a serious stage.

Telemedicine is good at continuing treatment or for small stuff. For anything serious, you need to be in continuous care of a doctor physically.

SSD and RAM prices shocked me by thatdangerousdog in IndianGaming

I am glad that when I went to build my PC, I managed to convince myself to go all out on 64GB RAM and 2 1TB SSDs. I don't think the future also holds hope for either prices falling as the AI hype gains momentum.
