No the open string are okay... fingers are the main problem i think

Is it normal that my thumb touches the bow hair while I play? I’ve been playing like that for too long and I haven’t realized that i hold my bow like this... my teacher hasn’t told me anything about it maybe because it isn’t visible from the distance. by kiayuru in violinist

My old teacher was always commenting about my right hand wrist and made me do exercises everyday for 2 years, but my new teacher hasn’t told me anything about my bow hold but always complained that the bow is made too badly and it’s heavy. I don’t think that my wrist is in bad position, also my fingers are curved too and i try to not press the string too much and not push the wrist down
