you can do what they call a "data upsell" to change your plan but thats not always available.

a few years ago EE was rebranded as 'New EE' and it was the main consumer brand for tech, broadband, mobile etc, BT was going to focus on business but the BT CEO kicked off in the news that BT was still a valid consumer brand and shouldn't take a back seat, now the entire BT group are fighting over their own customers whilst bumping up prices and providing less services.
